Favorite thing: Bais City is synonymous to Dolphin watching and Majuyod Sandbar. Although the Sandbar belongs to the town of Majuyod it is closely associated with Bais City Dolphin watching tour. Bais City is about 1 hour away from Dumaguete City by (Ceres) bus, so you can opt to just do a day trip. The Dolphin watching-Manjuyod Sandbar Tour is from 7am to 3pm.

We decided to stay overnight and check out the other city attractions. Unfortunately all we did was go around the city in a tricyle because we were not allowed to enter the ancestral homes and the Central Azucarera de Bais which were privately owned. We paid the driver P200 bec he was very kind and did not know how much to charge us.

The advantage of staying overnight is you get to enjoy the Budbud (suman) and the very sweet mangoes, which we bought at the market.

The 2 restaurants recommended by the Tourism office, Wonka (fast food) and Fuyma (served good pancit) were nothing fancy, food was ok and very cheap.
