Bagong Lipunan Restaurant: Let's eat, Pancit!

by jessgotdestiny

True to its famous line, Bagong Lipunan is indeed the Home of the Best Pancit in the City of Cagayan de Oro. This place is usually swarmed with a lot of people come lunch or dinner time. At a glance, it couldn't be the interiors since inside everything looked simple. By taste and smell, yes, it must be the pancit or the Filipino version of noodles that the people came for to eat. Ask for their specialty of the house Pancit and that's exactly what everyone's looking for. Add to that a serving of Beef steak , grilled pork liver or Sinugbang atay , and a Halang-halang , may it be pork or beef depending on your choice. These would definitely go best when served with a very cold Coke.

Butcher's best!: ..it's the sisig..yum yum..

by rairaiken

I love this place! Everytime I go home I always make sure that I eat at Butchers. It's located at the heart of the city which is in Divisoria, price is affordable and the barbeque taste so good. You will feel bloated after eating in Butchers. My favorite dish??to start with it will be the pork sisig,nom..nom..nom.. Then there's the pork BBQ, hot and spicy BBQ and chicken BBQ. The Angus beef was good also. They used to have this kimmy rogers but I don't think they still have it. I have to eat there again when i get back to update this review and post some pics.

Thai Me Up: Everything but with a Tom Yam

by jessgotdestiny

Aside from their interesting menu, Thai Me Up has its way of putting up interesting interiors around the place. Just recently, they renovated to a better and more delightful one. I love the spontaniety of their dining tables and chairs, and the hanging lanterns. There's also this small setup which resembles the typical design of Filipino window. And speaking of renovation, they blended Filipino tastes in their menu. Thus, not just only Thai Me up but they tied Fill Me Up as well. Our favorite order consists of the Shrimp Tom Yam Soup , Spicy Pomelo salad , Fish fillet in Black pepper sauce , and some Spring rolls . Why it's good? Because it's spicy with a twist.

Sentro 1850: Classy feel to eat your food

by jessgotdestiny

Ambience is good. You'll get to feel professionality and elegance when inside. There are a variety of wines on display and delightful desserts to try. Fish Hainanese is served best. Or if you're hungry, try the Don Juan chops . My friends' favorites are the Baby Back Ribs which I haven't tried yet.

La Vetta: Great french cuisine at a really worth it price

by Jimbo222

The ambiance is great. You definitely will feel that it is an "expensive" place. (Although the cost of the food wasn't really that costly when you compare it to Manila). They have deli (cold cuts, cheese, wine, and the like)This is the type of place that you would want to hang out and chill in. Really cozy place. This is my favorite restaurant in Cagayan de Oro! :) I loved the Beef Carpaccio. This dish usually costs expensive and would cost at least 400 pesos in other restaurants. It only costs 195 pesos in this restaurant. Aside from being cheap, the beef was soft, and it greatly complimented the cheese and the oil.

DV. Soria Night Cafe: Night Cafe

by yannie00

Every Friday and Saturday in CDO city they close the main road. The whole street turned into a restaurant. They call it the night cafe. The food there was okay. We had about 5 different dishes and we paid 700 pesos, including drinks and rice.I do advise to have your own cups and spoons though because we noticed that they reused these items. (they just washed them they aren't new.)

Butcher's Best: Best barbecue in town

by master_oj

Some friends who have visited CDO before recommended Butcher's Best restaurant. We went there for our dinner after our long (strenuous) day with white water rafting activity. The ambiance of the place is similar to Dencio's Bar and Grill here in Manila but the food price is way cheaper. The food taste great and the price is really reasonable. You should try all their best sellers including barbecue and steaks.Specialties:Original sisig -chopped and grilled or broiled pig's headSinug wOW - Grilled pork belly served with soy sauce and onions.

Only in Cagayan (Sea food and Bar): Restaurant cum Nite Spot

by machomikemd

this restaurant cum Bar and Live Band claims that they have the freshest catch and the freshest sea food and also offer native cagayan de oro cuisines plus a smatteriing of other regional and national filipino specialties. They also offer live entertainment via a live band with no cover charge hence this restaurant is a popular nitespot here. besides the fresh sea foods like the tuna sashimia at 180 pesos an order. how about sizzling squids at 140 pesos an order and the Native Cebu Style Lechon (different from the Luzon Island kind where you don't need a dipping sauce and is stuff with lemongrass) at 380 pesos a kilo. Beers start at 40 pesos an order and cocktail drinks start at 100 pesos an order.

Sentro 1850: Tasty food in a pleasant environment

by GenuinelyCurious

Sentro's location and selection makes it a nice choice for an evening meal in CDO. It seems to be among the best in town, in fact. The service is adequate and the preparation is above average. I had the tenderloin steak and the tangigue grilled fish. Both were tasty.
