Pancake House Clark: Pancakes & More!

by cyndymc Written Mar 3, 2010
Pancake House Clark W/ Valentine Decor

Pancake House is another food chain that we often patronize for brunch or snacks. I like their simple but refreshingly cozy ambience and courteous staff, and I am glad to say that Clark branch met my expectation.

Favorite Dish: Whenever we go to a Pancake House branch, I choose from their salads, sandwiches, pancakes and other snack/dessert items. I like best their tuna salad sandwich served with potato salad. Their best taco in town is also a favorite.

    Congo Grille: Grilled Specialties

by cyndymc Updated Mar 2, 2010
    Congo Grille Clark's
    4 more images

Congo Grille Clark belongs to a restaurant chain in the Philippines that we often patronize. Congo Grille restaurants are associated with African jungle-themed interiors and mascot (an ape in safari outfit), but more popularly, with their value for money food servings (they offer generous food portions at reasonable prices).

Congo Grillle Clark has the same distinctive interior design as the other branches in Metro Manila: projecting a high-energy ambiance that is homey and casual. You'll feel at ease inside the restaurant. If my memory serves me right, Clark Branch pricing is about the same as their Manila counterparts.

What I think makes it special: Though the restaurant specializes in grilled foods, the air conditioned dining area is not filled with smoke, nor does it smell of smoke. Another plus: I understand that all their food are cooked without monosodium glutamate. And another plus: alert, courteous, and always smiling staff.

Favorite Dish: Known for its grilled specialties like Savory Grilled Pusit, Grilled Tuna Belly and Grilled Beef Ribs, Congo Grille also serves Filipino favorite dishes like Crispy Pata, Lumpiang Kaldereta and Sisig. The latter is said to have originated form Pampanga. Variations of the original "sisig" have been concocted by different restaurants, but Congo Grille's "sisig" proved to be the best. Since it won first place at the 2006 Pampanga Sisig Festival, it earned the title of "The Sisig King". Our family likes trying out "sisig" in different restaurants. I like Congo Grille's version - they use less fatty meat that is crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside.

    Red Crab: Yummy Crabs

by JaneCajuguiran Written Jan 30, 2006

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Where in Pampanga do you get the yummiest, most succulent crabs? Well, they have those all over pampanga but the best restaurant to go to in Clark is the Red Crab. They prepare adccording to your bidding. The cost is not so high. Try their szechuan crab , and their other seafood. This is one restaurant you shouldn't miss. But only when you're not in a hurry. They prepare it as it is ordered and they get the freshest catch so it will take some time to cook.

Favorite Dish: their Szechuan Crab - very flavorful with just the right amount of spices, mostly garlic.
