Take a walk at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (Cemetery of Heroes). It is found in Bayani Road, Fort Bonifacio, Makati. It is where former presidents of the Philippines, national artists and Philippine historical figures were buried. One can also learn about important events in Philippine history and it's in Makati! If by any chance you like watching flying airplanes as well, it's also a good place to watch airplanes landing.

The Fort Bonifacio (the Army camp) has a new training swimming pool. It's olympic size, and very well maintained. Since it's inside Fort Bonifacio, the traffic is freely flowing.
The pool is located on Nichols-McKinley corner Bayani Roads. It's in the Army Gym compound (Bulwagang Flores). From EDSA corner Ayala Avenue, take the McKinley road. You'll pass the Santuario de San Antonio (huge Catholic church), Manila Polo Club and the Manila Golf Club. At the first traffic light, turn right. Continue on that road. You'll pass Essensa (a condominium building), and on your left will be the American War Memorial. Just continue on until you pass the Fort Bonifacio main gate, and then the Grandstand. The corner after the Grandstand is the Army Gym Compound.
It's PHP50.00 each person per day.
The pool's operation time is 9AM-12PM and 1-6PM. Because this is a training pool, they expect swimmers to wear swimming trunks (similar to Speedos) or bathing suits.

A Home to Enjoy Life
From the garden of my former house I want to give you a look onto the lower terrace, the guest room, and to the left, behind that little wall, the main entrance. To the right and hidden on this picture is the upper terrace and the swimming pool.

Well, these are NOT really off the beaten path pictures because they are within Greenbelt Park, but you might miss them if you're not walking leisurely....
