As we have only 2 airways here from Manila to Tacloban. Philippines Airline is one of the most convenient way going to the place and fastest way to be at one place to another. As they have daily flight early in the morning and 1:00 in the afternoon. There you will arrive to the place the time you expected. For only 45 minutes your already at the airport.

Flying into Clark and getting out

I've lived in Manila for nearly 20 years and I'm still get surprised at the sheer ineptitude of the people sometimes. So this tip is for Tiger Airways or Air Asia passengers into Manila to spare you from the aggravation:

1. Be prepared for a long queue at the immigration counter. Average waiting time is 20-30 minutes to get past that. You're in for another 10-15 minutes if you get the old guy. He is so slow.

2. Baggage claim is relatively easy, considering that your luggage has been on that carousel for the 20-30 minutes you've been in line for immigration.

3. There's yet another queue at the customs counter. Maybe another 15-20 minutes. Basically, the customs official receives your customs form, stands around for 5 minutes or so, and then lets you go through. Sometimes, they'll do a cursory check of your baggage.

4. If you didn't make reservations with the bus company or Avis beforehand, you're in for yet another hassle. Unbelievably, the bus company that was contracted by the Clark airport has only one 30-seater bus for each flight of 180 passengers. The car company, Avis, charges an exorbitant PHP2900 (approximately) for a taxi to Manila.

And no, the staff at the airport will not inform you that you can take a cab out to Dau (another little city nearby) and get on an aircon bus to Manila at the terminal there. They are only interested in their own business.

So here's what you do if you don't have a reserved seat on the airport's contracted bus service:

1. Go to the Avis counter, pay PHP250 and tell them to bring you to the Dau bus terminal.

2. Take the bus to Cubao for another PHP120. We took the Patros bus but there are other companies like Victory Liner there I think. You can ask around. There are usually a bunch of "porters" around that will carry your bags to the proper bus if you tell them your destination terminal (Pasay or Cubao, if you're headed to Manila).

3. From the Cubao bus terminal, take a cab to your final destination (another PHP100 to Makati).

NAIA in Manila.

Also known as NAIA, is one of the entrance gates of the Philippines.

On the international arrival is a little messy and confusing before customs. In the other hand, the domestic arrival is calm and clean.

Outside the arrival hall there are lots of taxis waiting for tourists to overrate a ride to downtown. If you have a transfer already arranged, good for you.

If not, try to arrange some in the booths on the right hand side of the arrival gate. Some hotels offer tourists discounts on that ride, even if not previously arranged. Just find the correct car rental booth associated to your hotel.

N.A. International Airport

Manila's main international airport is the Ninoy Aquino, though some airlines are turning their backs on the chaos and heading for the relative order of Cebu City's Mactan Island Airport. If you were leaving the Philippines by plane, you'd be better off booking a ticket before you arrive - discounts are hard to come by.

You can also arrive and depart Manila by bus, but the organization is about as good as the airport's, and there's no central long-distance bus terminal. Once you finally get on the right bus, the trip will generally be a good one. The country's one remaining train line links Manila to the Bicol region in the south. It's not advised to take this option, as the train is slow and sometimes dangerous.

NAIA Terminal 2

NAIA Terminal 2 currently serves only Philippine Airlines for domestic and international routes. Transfer between flights is easy when on PAL. When Terminal 3 opens, all international flights, including PAL's, will move to the new terminal. MEanwhile, all domestic flights will be me moved to the Terminal 2

Terminal for Philippine airlines only.
i was astonished by the service in the toilet in the departure hall.
As soon as i entered the toilet, i was served by a bunch of staffs there, handing over the toilet papers, wiping off the toilet seat, turining on the tap water, handing over the paper towel... and finally they asked for tips.

Manila is underrated as a tourist destination. It has fun places to go to. And plenty of history and art also. This is a picture of Intramuros at night.
