Firehouse complex is quite cool! There are also som hotspots in the area around Intercon Hotel in Makati. Or simply go to Malate, and have the time of your...weekend!
Arena in Cebu city is absolutely worth a visit.
I don't know why great live bands seem so plentiful in Manila. I saw a new band at the Conservatory of the Peninsula last night. They're the first band I've seen do love songs, dance music, AND a medley of Queen's greatest hits - including Bohemian Rhapsody. Fantastic show. If you're a Queen fan and in Makati on a Thursday night - don't miss ETC!
Dress Code: Smart casuals. No shorts, sandals, or sleeveless shirts (for males).
You don't have to be an oldie to enjoy the retro and contemporary dance music this band plays. The singers are - well, nice to look at... They're members of the famous Manila entertainment Cruz clan. And the Captain's Bar is no slouch when it comes to making you feel 5-star! Impressive selection of single malts. And, of course, the local brew- San Miguel!
Dress Code: Smart casuals. No shorts, sandals, or sleeveless shirts.
If you like live music - then this is a must see. Just be prepared to dance because you won't be able to stop yourself from hitting the dance floor, dancing! :o)
Dress Code: Smart casual. Sleeveless shirts, shorts, sandals are definitely not allowed.
One of the best, if not THE best live band I've ever had the pleasure of hearing AND seeing. They don't just sing great; they dance like there's no tomorrow!
Dress Code: Smart casual. No shorts, slippers, sleeveless or collarless shirts.
Not for the shy or the faint of heart! Get up onstage with the band and jam with them - if you sing or play the guitar. Or even the drums. If not, then you can shake your groove thang with Nancy - guaranteed to make your night!
They offer a variety of foods from different stores within the area, live music and groovy dancing!
Dress well and be yourself! Most people in Makati wear properly and neatly.
I like it in Streetlife bar, Hardrock cafe' Manila and many more.
Well, they have there live bonds and beautiful band singers. It's great being there.
Any, as long as you're comfortable.
I recomand for the night life the live band music pubs where the music is really good and where you can even request for a special song if you are feeling romantic. I have been to the Strumms pub and also to the Hard Rock Cafe where the music bands were really great. I had a wonderful time there. There's a 500 pesos entry at the Kiko's bar and the Music, but you can eat and drink as much as you like for those 500 pesos (1 $- 50-51 pesos).
Dress Code: There's a dress code in every live band music pubs so no short pants.. like the ones for the beach.. but you can go in if you are wearing a t-shirt and jeans
Every large 4 or 5 star hotel has its own bar with live performances. Listen to Filipino singers and musicians. There is also a nightclub strip along the boulevard by the Bay. One can also gamble at government-run casinos using Las Vegas rules.
Front row seats are best for enjoying the impressive talent for dancing the Cruz girls have!
Dress Code: Dress nice, folks. Everybody else does.
