Strumms, Hard Rock Cafe, Kiko's bar and the Music: Live band pubs
Voicu profile photo

I recomand for the night life the live band music pubs where the music is really good and where you can even request for a special song if you are feeling romantic. I have been to the Strumms pub and also to the Hard Rock Cafe where the music bands were really great. I had a wonderful time there. There's a 500 pesos entry at the Kiko's bar and the Music, but you can eat and drink as much as you like for those 500 pesos (1 $- 50-51 pesos).

Dress Code: There's a dress code in every live band music pubs so no short pants.. like the ones for the beach.. but you can go in if you are wearing a t-shirt and jeans

Every large 4 or 5 star hotel has its own bar with live performances. Listen to Filipino singers and musicians. There is also a nightclub strip along the boulevard by the Bay. One can also gamble at government-run casinos using Las Vegas rules.

Padi's Point, Caloocan: Cheap Drinks, Cheap Food...
wreckloose profile photo

There's a live band playing and taking requests every night of the week. Food is cheap, so are the drinks. Cool spot to see locals.

Dress Code: No slippers, shorts, tanks tops.

Also, no cameras of any kind.

A: A little off-topic but I recall Imelda Marcos, former Philippine First Lady, was (or still is) a bit of a shoe-addict - around three thousand pairs!

Manila is underrated as a tourist destination. It has fun places to go to. And plenty of history and art also. This is a picture of Intramuros at night.
