Crystal Jade is an international Chain of Shanghai style chinese restaurants which have branches in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and here in the Philippines. It is one of the first restaurants to offer Shanghai type of Chinese Cuisine and the most famous of the shanghai food is the xiao long bao, a savory prok meat dumpling filled with a hot meaty broth inside the dumpling. Shanghai Cuisine has more sauces and offers more noodles and uses soy sauce and salted food more liberally than other chinese cuisines.

Opens from 11:00 am - 9:00 pm

Favorite Dish: aside from the mouth watering xiao long bao dumplings that costs 120 pesos for 4 pieces and 240 pesos for 8 pieces, they have other types of noodle dishes and rice dishes that costs 250 pesos and up per order. it's a pity that I've not tasted the xiao long bao when I was in Shanghai years ago.

This tip will be on the Budget section of the Gloriamaris Restaurant in Greenhills, at their noodle and dimsum portion of their Huge Restaurant Complex in Greenhills.

luxury! that can be described when dining in Gloria Maris restaurant. It is a Chinese Luxury Dining and budget dimsum chain that specializes in Cantonese and Sze Chuan Dishes (Ironic again since most Chinese came from Fujian province, not from Anhui or Guangdong Province). This was originally a continental restuarant in Manila bay but was sold to Budding Filipino Chinese enterprenuers in the 1970's who re tooled it into a chinese luxury restaurant and dimsum house in separate chambers.

Opens from 5:30 pm - 10:30 pm, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

They also have a selection of roasted meat dishes and fried rice meals.

It's not easy for Muslim traveler in Makati. After few days of searching for Muslim restaurant, finally one of local Muslim suggests to visit Greenhills mall.
Whenever you're there, not only food that will hold you, also many things that you'll take home from pearls to local products for souvineers.

Favorite Dish: They have local oriental dishes.

The place is like an old house. It's a comfortable place. I could even imagine myself staying there from morning til midnight. The baristas are way different from the other branches. They're very accomodating. Their air conditioning is the best, it really cold inside.

Favorite Dish: I LOVE their Strawberries' and Cream Frappe, blended whip. Anytime of the day, this is the best drink for me. :)

And when I'm like sleepy, I order their Hot Cocoa to keep me alive alert awake.

I also like their Tiramisu. Although it's the best order to go. Their chiller's temperature is really low. So the cake tends to dry up a little. By ordering it to go and storing it on your own chiller, it'll moist a little bringing out the coffee in it - taste better. :)

Their Cinnamon Roll is also great. :)

Teriyaki Boy. Promenade, Greenhills: katsu

The service was quite alright. Well, it really depends on my mood on how I'll judge them.

There was this one time when I was having dinner with a friend and the place is filled, they could barely hear my voice. It was understandable though.

The cost? For a student like me, it's really expensive. But if you're like one big time hot shot person, then it's quite cheap. But either way, it's worth the pay cos the food's really good. :D

The utensils they used are nice. They don't use the cheap ones. They use the hard, heavy ones.

Favorite Dish: I love their Katsudon. I usually eat it with their teriyaki chicken sauce.

I also adore their Teriyaki Chicken. Well, that's their specialty isn't it? ;)

Plus I think their Cali Maki is really cheap.

And please tell me that you love their rice. HAHA

It's in an old Spanish house with open verandas/terraces. Cozy if you're dining with friends and romantic enough for dinner for two.

Favorite Dish: Spanish food but on our last visit we all had steaks and it was really good.

Manila is underrated as a tourist destination. It has fun places to go to. And plenty of history and art also. This is a picture of Intramuros at night.
