The owner makes this restaurant stand out. He makes sure that he talks to ever diner eating! Even during rush hour lunch.

Favorite Dish: Pasta ala Lorenzo - Linguini in Olive Oil with Brocolli, Shrimp and Chili - about P325

Chilil Shrimp pasta

The lunch crowd was quite thin so the receptionist seated us at the couch (overlooking ADB ave and the building across the street). The waiters were attentive, albeit a bit hovering when we weren't ready to order yet. Was so disappointed about them not having any desert!

Favorite Dish: We ordered the Shrimp Chili Pasta (about 250+) and Chicken Caesar Salad (about 195). Bottomless drinks (Iced Tea and Sodas) are available.

UCC at the Podium

D._Pepper first introduced UCC coffee to me last year. I suggested Starbucks and he said..."Nah, you haven't tried UCC, have you?" At that time not familiar with this new cofee shop chain, I just smiled and said no. (Then went home and asked my brother what in the world is UCC???)
The one we usually go to for breakfast or for coffee and dessert after dinner is at the Podium in Ortigas Center. You can choose between cozy and comfy black couches or tables in the ground floor or upstairs if you are with smokers.

Favorite Dish: Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee is indeed the costliest coffee in the world because it's grown only in one place. You can scrimp (and just get the taste of it) for the blend which is about $4 a cup or, fully enjoy a pure brew for about $6. Some people will say coffee is coffee...and I agree most of the time because I really just like coffee but when I want to indulge...I don't mind paying $6 :-)
For breakfast, their french toast and bacon is to die for...the toast is perfectly done...crisp on the outside and light and melts in your mouth in the inside.

Manila is underrated as a tourist destination. It has fun places to go to. And plenty of history and art also. This is a picture of Intramuros at night.
