This place is a special place because it is a fun place to go to with family and friends. There's live music every night and only the best perform here.

It is known as "Davao's premier food, entertainment, arts and cultural landmark!" and the Davaoeños and tourists alike agree.

There are open from 8 in the evening to 2 am the following day during weekdays
During weekends they are open from 5 in the afternoon to 2am the following day.

All major credit cards are accepted and you can cross-order. For example you are eating barbecue at the tent and you want cold coffee, you can ask them to call the servers from the cafe.

(Sometimes they have bazaars/flea markets, workshops, and other fun activities)

Dress Code: Come as you are...maybe except in your birthday suit because people have different sensibilities and since it's a family place, we have to think of the children. :)

Polo Bistro Lounge: Night Lounge at the Pool of Marco Polo

another wonderful area of the Marco Polo Hotel and if you want a measure of privacy when dining or having a few drinks, the the Polo Bistro is your best bet since the area is quiet and has a romantic ambiance specially at night as it is beside the poolside and has an aura of serenity plus is not full of people unlike in the lobby lounge or at the Eagles Bar so If you have a romantic date, this is the place to be. They have subtle piped in music that plays smooth sounds. They don't offer buffetts here but only ala carte meals that are on the high side and the menus are endless like having Australian or USDA Rib eye steaks at 1,500 and 2,000 pesos respectively or the lobster thermidore at 1,600 pesos an order how about having red wines at 350 pesos a glass and the assorted cocktails for 150 pesos up. A nice place to relax and unwind or have a romantic repast.

Dress Code: Smart Casual since this is a more formal area than the restaurants and bars at the lower levels of the Marco Polo Hotel.

The Lounge is open from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm everyday

Eagles Bar: Bar and Nite Spot (part 1)

the lively eagles bar. This small bar located just after the main entrance of the hotel may be small but it sure packs a wallop in terms of experience and food. I will be doing a two part tip of this bat with more pictures. the Eagles Bar of the Marco Polo Hotel and the main attraction among the bars here simply because the area has a live jazz band after 9:00 pm on selected days and there is a resident DJ mixing old 80's songs to Modern Pop or RNB and Chillout music. The cocktails and beers here maybe expensive but is way cheaper as compared to the five star hotels in Manila and you can have a dinner buffett in the bar that lasts up to 12:00 am the price is about 900 pesos a person (no drinks included). The place is small but is sometimes packed with locals and tourists. There is no cover charge for the entrance.

Hours: Open from 5:00 pm to 2:00 am everyday with a seating capacity of 48 persons

Local Beers like San Miguel will cost 150 pesos a bottle and foreign beers like Stella Artois will cost 250 pesos a bottle. They offer cocktail specials like the Sangri Pitcher with assorted flavors that costs 350 pesos a small pitcher and regular cocktails like the tequila sunrise and Mai Tai and Zombie at 150 pesos an order and a lot more.

They also offer daily treats for specific themes and happy hour specials before 7:00 pm.

Dress Code: casual, no slippers or flip flops allowed, however, wearing khaki shorts is allowed as long as you wear shoes instead of flip flops.

POD (play or Dine) 4th Level Gaisano Mall: Bar & Billiards Inside Gaisano Mall
betterthanraspberry profile photo

The place is very new. I thought that it's such a cool idea to have a bar & billiards place inside one of Davao City's biggest malls. When I got in, cool mellow music welcomed me.

The ambiance was perfect! The lights are not glaring, the coaches are very comfy plus they even have a wide window with a view of the city! And the food? I notice that they are more into finger foods although they also serve bulalo steak & baby back ribs. I sampled their cheesy chicken quesadillas and sisig - both were quite tasty. Their quesadillas didn't have that strong chili con carne flavor and smell which I really dislike in Mexican foods. As for their sisig, you can choose to have it in chicken or pork. So yey for those non pork eaters! I ordered the pork sisig and I enjoyed it down to the last bit. It's very flavorful, unlike the other sisigs I tasted which were blah or only tasted like soy sauce. Oh, and I did notice that both of my orders came in big servings. I think 2-3 persons can share the food.

As for their prices? They're not that bad considering that their foods come in huge servings and they were delish!

This place is perfect for friends, medreps, businessmen, yuppies and students who want to "chill" or just relax after a long day at work or in school.

Give the place a try. It's worth it!

Dress Code: casual...anything goes

The Venue
This place is huge! Live bands play nightly. Billiards, snooker, etc are available. This is the new 'in' place to be...to unwind, people-watch and just dance the night away.

Actually I am not really good in dancing. I know a little but thats not my favorite hobbies in life. I am a home body type...but I only want to share what is my observation in other people experiences in terms of dancing, especially ballroom dance. When I was in College, our teachers in Physical Education subject is a good dancer....and of course there experience shared with some of there students how to keep on dancing gracefully, thats why my other classmates was so excited to know it...so that is the beginning why my friends, and my former classmates like in dancing esp. those dance what we called it, Ballroom.
