Davao, seems to be the mecca of malls. And not just malls, but huge malls. I think there is a mall every 3 or 4 miles. Full of shoppers..and every mall has a full blown grocery store in it. A great place to shop and eat..The food courts are awesome..I must have gained 10 pounds eatting like a pig in Davao.
What to buy: You can buy what you want..everything is available in all th malls.
What to pay: In Davao, everything is sooo...cheap !!! But, I did notice that electronics are not a bargain in the Philippines...So don`t expect to get a deal on cell phones, cams, dvds etc...

NCCC has branches in Davao city and Tagum. If I'm not mistaken the one in the heart of the city is the biggest mall in Davao. The 4-storey complex has a bowling alley, hardware, supermarket, 4 cinemas, and several shops and restaurants.
Friendly staff.
What to buy: Fresh fruits
round mangosteen
smelly durian
tuna (belly, sashimi, head)
They can put your fruits in small crate and pack your tuna in ice so they're all ready to be shipped back to Manila.
What to pay: P90/kg of succulent pomelo
