Davao City has 2 private 18-hole courses and a public 9-hole course.
Apo Golf Club is a storied course which was developed in 1965. It is located in Bago, approximately 13 kilometers south from the Davao City Hall. At 7,000 yards from the back tees, the course is very challenging - with mature trees lining the rough, and numerous water hazards. Its name comes from the tallest Philippine mountain, which can be viewed in its majesty especially from the 10th fairway.
Palos Verdes Golf is west of the Diversion Road. There are 2 routes to the course, one of which will take you through a banana plantation. A much younger course (less trees), it offers a different golfing experience, but challenging nevertheless due to its undulating fairways, bunker positions. At 7,039 yards (gold), the back tee is for the pros. The blue (6,450) is recommended for intermediate players and white tees for those who just want to enjoy a stress-free round.
The par-4 13th hole (island green) and the par-4 9th hole require strategy and precision. Don't hook or pull your shot on the par-3 2nd, there are crocodiles in the ravine!
The 9-hole Matina Golf is a kilometer from SM mall, and is 5 kilometers south of Davao City Hall.

Address: All 3 courses are within Davao City
If you are more of the adventurous type then i recommend you try rafting at Davao River. The waves are much bigger, stronger and more challenging than the one found in Cagayan de Oro. A word of warning though, this is not for the weak at heart. But believe me..it's all worth it! Enjoy and welcome to Davao.
Equipment: Just wear light clothes all the safety gear will be provided for. You can't take pictures during the actual raft but you can take some in between breaks just make sure you place it in a secure bag.
