Located in the Island Garden City of Samal, which is part of Davao del Norte.
Paradise Beach Resort can be reached in 45 minutes from downtown Davao City, and the boat crossing takes only 10 minutes.
This is the SM (the mid-range, value-for-money mall chain) of beach resorts. Clean, with lots of attentive staff, the resort's variety of recreational facilities distinguishes it from the rest in the resort middle market. Admission to the resort is P150/ person (P50 of which is consumable, i.e. it can be applied as payment for food or use of resort facilities).
Recreational and water sports equipment are available (billiards, air hockey, foosball, kayak; jetski rental is P1,500 for 15 minutes). One-hour massage service is P400.
The resort has common dressing and shower rooms. The open-air restaurant serves staple Davao fare such as grilled tuna belly or panga (jaw), pork and chicken barbecue, pancit (stir-fried noodles), and of course, kinilaw (raw fish soaked in vinegar, ginger, onion, cucumber and radish; red chili optional).
The last boat departs from the resort at around 5 pm. If you decide to stay overnight in one of the resort’s cottages, you can have the beach to yourself and a few other guests after sunset and until 8 a.m. the following day, when the day-trippers start trickling in from Davao City.

one of the Big Parks in davao city, located in the Mount Apo Mountain Ranges
located at an elevation of 2630 feet above sea level in the Mount Apo Mountain Range and the park was formerly a denuded area due to illegal logging but was tranfsformed into a mountain and nature trail park. Today, there are over 100,000 pine trees spread in about 80 hectares, providing a refreshing backdrop to the various attractions in Eden Nature Park. The park is about a 1 hour drive from downtown davao city and a day tour package including lunch is 500 pesos per person and the shuttle tour around the park using Multi Cabs at 80 pesos per person.

the butterly farm of the sprawling Malagos Garden Resort and for me is the second best wonderful attraction in the Malagos Garden Resort. In the small butterfly sanctuary where there are lots of enclosed mini aviaries connected by walkways, you will see lots of local butterflies endemic to the philippines and the biggest varieties which arethe Triodes Radamanthus and Triodes Megallanus. The Butterfly release is at 9:00 am and 2:00 pm everyday.

The Malagos Garden Resort is a 50 minute drive from downtown and is a 15 hectare nature park with lots of activities (see my separate shopping and restaurant tips). The Bird feeding program of the park is at th big domed aviary where can you find assorted birds like love birds, parakeets, mynah's, Rufus Hornbills, even ducks where they will feed on bird feeds that you stuffed in your hands and it is included in the entrance fee to the park (see my videos too). Daily feeding every 10 am and 2:00 pm.

one of the famous attractions just off the coast of davao city and is just a 15 minute ferry ride from the mini jetty in the beach of Waterfront Hotel Davao. The Pearl Farm Resort was formerly farm for the expensive south sea pearls but in the 1990's the owners converted it to a luxury resort cum hotel that offers daily tours for guests to swim at the swimming pool or stroll around the gardens in the 11 hectare complex or have a dip at the white sand beach amidst the views of the locally inspired luxe cottages on stilts (a day package will cost about 2,500 persos per person including lunch). If you want to stay in the resort, then prepare to lose an arm and a leg since the prices here are on the high side. Other activities to do here are: Jetskiing, hobie cat sailing, scuba diving, tennis, a big fish pond.

they have nice facilities besides being the first premier hotel of Davao City and they have the best sea front view of the hotels in Davao City. The big and sprawling hotel complex also boasts of a big pool and black sandy beaches (although the white sands of nearby samal island is better) and is the site of major local and international conventions due to the beautiful landscaped gardens, assorted restaurants and bars in the complex and nearby the golf course and they also have a mini port where the ferries to and from Samal Island originates so that you don't need to go to Sasa Wharf which is about 30 minutes away for a day tour of Samal Island.
