There are various Tour Companies if Davao City offering one day and multi-day city tours and also buses for hire or for charter. They have small vans, private cars and the usual big buses available for the daily tours. There are assorted tour packages for different activities in Davao City like eco-tourism, extreme sports, hiking, Mountain Climbing and more and being in a big group like me, chartering the big buses with the day tour is way cheaper than taking the individual package since they offer group discounts so if you are a big group wanting to tour davao, I would suggest availing of the chartered bus and tour package.

Like ther Iconic Philippine Jeepney which started as world war II willy jeeps which were converted into mutlicolored and large Jeepneys, the multicab is a spin off of the popular pick up trucks and are reconfigures into the famous multi cabs mostly made from surplus pick up trucks from japan. Tt is used in multi ways (hence the name multicab) for family or personal use, delivery services, passenger services, school and lots more and is popular in the visayas and mindanao regions and here in davao, compete for passengers from jeepneys and taxis and tricycles. Like the jeepneys, they have fixed routes and they have the same 8 peso rate per person for the first four kilometer and 2 pesos per kilometer hereafter.

more cheaper way to go around davao city. The Philippine Jeepneys are a popular means of public transportation in the Philippines. They were originally made from US military jeeps left over from World War II and are well known for their flamboyant decoration and crowded seating. They have also become a symbol of Philippine culture. Although the original jeepneys were simply refurbished military jeeps (Willys), modern jeepneys are now produced by independently owned workshops and factories within the Philippines. Here in Davao City, the jeepneys have pre determined routes all around the city and the rate of riding one is 8 pesos for the first four kilometers and 2 pesos per succeeding kilometer but the only drawback is that they follow a fix route so if you want to be dropped off the the place that you would go then better to hire a taxi or a tricycle.

Taxis are a generic everywhere and here in the philippines, Davao City has the lowest crime rate in the whole of the Philippines hence riding a taxi here is generally safe than in riding at the capital of Metro Manila. Taxi drivers here are courteous and hardly take advantage of passengers due to the strong law and order policy of the city so that you will feel safe in riding them. they are available everywhere in the city and at selected taxi stands near the major hotels. Flag down rates are 45 pesos for the first 2 kilometers and 5 pesos for every 400 meters afterwards and they are all metered. You can also negotiate with them to tour you around davao city for at least 1,800 pesos for the whole day so that you can go to the selected tourist areas and they will wait for you.

The departure area is Huge and The Check-in counters are equipped with electronic weighing scales and conveyors and its baggage handling system is also computerized. There are lots of shops and restaurants around the 2 level area selling assorted souvenirs and food and even a massage center.

The airport features a 3-kilometer long runway and currently serves domestic flights to Davao City for the big four (PAL, Cebu Pacific, Asian Spirit, and Air Philippines) as well as international flights to Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. It is publicly operated by the government’s Air Transportation Office, the arrival area is small and has not a lot of shops in the domestic arrival area part and sometimes they don't use the airbridges for arriving passengers but instead, they walk form the plane to the tarmac to the terminal and finally to the waiting rides.

Fares are cheaper is you buy 1 month in advance (usually about 5,000 pesos including all sucharges like airport tax, security fee and fuel surcharge).

if you want to rough it out :) you can hire a motorcycle from toril hiway/mercury drug store. i think its 60-80 per pax, if you're alone you have to pay for 2pax. it was a fun ride, just put on some sunblock and dont forget ur shades/cap. you can arrange for the driver to pick you up or the staff at loleng can get one for you.
