Web site to help you with Dumaguete / Negros

by crewrower

If you'll be in Dumaguete or other parts of Negros Oriental, take a look at this website: http://www.dumagueteinfo.com/ It has lots of information that will help you think about your trip about your trip to the region. It's not totally comprensive, and some of it is distracting / not useful, but there are good hotel links and generally unbiased information.

Scarce Transportation in Dumaguete

by itzypies

Public transportation in Dumaguete is limited. Since the resort we stayed in is far from the city we have to pay P1000 for pickup and another P1000 for the return trip to the resort. If you want to enjoy the nightlife in the city I suggest that you spend one night there. You can choose from a lot of good accomodations Dumaguete offers. Bethel for example is situated near Rizal Ave and is near the local pubs and bars.

Tourist Information Center

by bike_packer

A belfry replica building is built at the southern end of the Rizal Blvd. Baywalk aptly named Cafe Turismo. It arouses any visitor's curiousity why this is not in the map of historical sites. The truth is, this is actually the Tourist Information Center of Dumaguete.

However, speaking those languages signal that you are not from the city. Common phrases include:Kamusta- HelloMaayo ra/ May'ra - I'm fineMaayong buntag/hapon/gabi-i- Good Morning/Afternoon/EveningSalamat - Thank youPila ni - How much?Asa ang ____? - Where is the___?
