The Hayahay: Treehouse Bar & Restaurant

by sirenna

The Hayahay is a very popular place to hang out on the Boulevard, with live reggae, ska and rock bands several nights a week. It's large rambling place constructed with lots of wood and bamboo with an upstairs viewdeck, and is popular with a varied crowd, from students to expats and tourists. As well as the friendly ambiance and music, people are drawn to the Hayahay for the food, especially their delicious seafood Seafood is their specialty, and there is an extensive menu to choose from. I love their baked oysters and the special Camiguin Express; mixed seafood soup with coconut milk. There is also a pizzeria on site.

Stretch of Rizal Boulevard: The city's version of Baywalk

by asianbelle

For a relaxing end to a hectic day, take a stroll along Rizal Blvd. at dusk. The boulevard is well lighted by lampposts and colorful lights wrapped around coconut trees. There are benches facing Tanon Strait where you could sit and watch boats/ships docking at or leaving the port. No dress code to be observed, just come as you are.

Hayahay: Live band

by anliz99

There are plenty of nightspots in Dumaguete and all of these are long the boulevard. The one we saw (while having dinner there) is Hayahay that had a live band. I was also told that El Camino is good. No dress code

gimmick: night life hangouts

by pyangga

the name itself is self-explanatory....a lot of yuppies and young men, ladies and students (on weekends) go to this hangout....you can play billiards, drink, they do have an icebox (enclosed dancefloor which i don't like because when you come out from the icebox you'll be smelling like a cigar for a week.......)gimmick is proud of their special sisig....you gotta try it.... they don't allow slippers and sandos for men...

payag: night life!!

by pyangga

it's like boracay in a restaurant without the sand. the name "Payag" means shack in english but this Payag is one great place to unwind and enjoy food, drinks and great music. they have a live band playing and you can even sing if your'e that confident enough to belt out a mellow song, the band will be more than willing to back you up with guitar and a beatbox...they have several nooks where you just sit on a mat laid out on the ground and with big throw pillows to sit on or to sleep on...and if you do lid down, u'd see the stars....how romantic....they've got candles spread around as well.... anything will do...from formal to casual to beach wear...the heck it is a 'beach' theme kind of thing. but casual will do just fine...

The Lounge Compuesto: Modern Minimalist

by firealessandra

“The Lounge Bar and Restaurant” is strategically located along Silliman Avenue. We have designed the front porch of the building to exude a French country ambience which will serve as a coffee shop by day. The interiors of the building are a different story with a modern minimalist theme splashed in all white. come as you are

Payag Sa Likod: Bring the beach inside the city

by firealessandra

This is a place where mostly the 20 something crowd hangout. The setting is like the beaches of Boracay at night time where mats and pillows are laid out in the sand. The tables and chair are all made up of bamboo. The food here is good. You should try their sisig and spicy gambas. come as you are

Why Not Karaoke and Bar: Rizal Boulevard

by whitebear

On Rizal Boulevard you can find a few bars and restaurants. Why not has a bar and behind that is a Karaoke Bar, this is a kind of national sport. First they ask you what to sing, then what to drink. No short pants
