Taal Lake

by namiewa

Taal Lake is the best destination here in Tagaytay City as this place is more or like Baguio the weather, views and etc..for sure you will do appreciate the nature. Not too far from Manila and not crowded as well. Specially, there are lots of views to watch on and shoot for. You can go there at morning then go back home at afternoon or stay for 1 night. Since this is my first time in Tagaytay I admit that even I live here in the Philippines I wasn’ t able to visit great places here in my country but it doesn’t mean I don’t like to travel here, of course you need to have time and money for your sake!. One of my friend told me that " I don’t need to go to other country to look for nice views though Philippines had already ‘" well, yeah I do agree of that. But of course I wanted to have a tour and to explore other countries too. Since this is my first time in Tagaytay I do have fun and...

Tigers

by namiewa

Here in my country we have plenty of Zoo's and the main Zoo's is in Manila. But we have plenty animas left there too.. so, if you do like to drop by for an hours just go for it.. and dont miss to take a picture.. We go here to show around for my sis daughter, and going here again is make me excited though haven't seen wild animals again. So, as we dont have much time to stay at the Zoo. while my sisters sit around and talking, I go around too to take a pictures. Tiger is the best shoot for me, it was really far from where im standing with though you dont need to be closed or else they will attacked you...But at the right moment and a right time i did had shoot a best picture for my page...

Friendliness and Helpfullness

by whvcebu

Having lived in the Philippines for more than 18 years all together I could not determine where I would have found a special place. It is just the feeling I experienced every day as soon as I left the business surroundings of Makati and the populated tourist spots.Go farther than the usually overcrowded tourist attractions.Drop by at a fruit stand along the roads in the remote areas. Even if the English might not be perfect you will have a nice time to chat.Go to a small restaurant, visit empty beaches and relax, ask a boy to climb up a tree to get a fresh coconut, experience a night in a nippa hut and sleep under a KULAMBO (Mosquito net), take a ride with a bigger banka (outrigger boats) and make a trip with a fisherman.I could continue on hundreds of examples, which left more impressions than the organized tourist "attactions". Just explore the hidden parts! There are a lot of things I...

The island of Camigun,The friendlyest place in the philippines, plus good diving, and snorkeling.

Currency Exchange

by noli

If you're staying in Makati and need a safe place to exchange your currency, try Sanry's Money Changer located on the ground level just outside the Landmark department store in Glorietta.I've been going there for years and have always gotten a great exchange rate. They can exchange several types of currencies too. Changing several thousands of dollars at one time is no problem for this place, as I once observed. You may run into a problem exchanging a lot of money at one time with the smaller money changers located on P. Burgos, but not here.

24 hours Service Gas Stations:

by mlt_t

There are three major petrol companies operating in my country. Petron, Shell and Caltex. The industry has now been deregulated, allowing the introduction of new competitors, such as PTT and TOTAL. Filipinos have been demonstrating against rising fuel prices, but, in reality, petrol is the cheapest in Asia but not anymore because of the price hike and economy crisis that we are having right now.The major petrol companies are currently upgrading facilities, with the establishment of giant super stations along busy expressways and highways. These have excellent facilities, comprehensive stores (Petron Treats, Shell Select, Caltex Starmart) and, often, associated businesses, such as Mc Donald’s, Jollibee and Burger King. At the bottom end of the scale, in small rural centers, facilities consist of one or two pumps, with a limited range. And sometime they had limited times around Province...

Filipino artist and craftsman

by mlt_t

Filipino artist and craftsman are remarkably talented and our products are often display roadside. Of particular note are the artwork and woodcarving of Rizal and Pampanga, the weaving of Laguna and the Cordilleras and the abaca and homemade paper product of Bicol.

A variety of Native Food on sale

by mlt_t

Our roads and highways are dotted with stalls selling local produce and handicrafts, often at bargain prices. As a general rule, produce sellers will not lower their prices significantly or depends on the season of product, though handicraft seller may offer you big reductions. The correct term to use when asking for a price reduction is to ask for ”tawad”(discount). Always remember the prices are already far lower than you will find in the markets, supermarkets and handicraft stores in Manila.
