the Sinking Bell Tower which dates back to around 1783..........the bell tower is called as such because earth movements have over the centuries caused it to sink and visitors need to bend and stoop to get through the entrance........

An interesting side trip is a visit to the Marcos Museum and Mausoleum at Batac. The museum contains memorabilia and press clippings of the late president, while his embalmed body is on display in a refrigerated crypt next door.

    Check out a lighthouse

Have you ever been inside a lighthouse? The Cape Bojedor Lighthouse should be easy to climb up to, even for the not so fit. A tight but beautiful spiral staircase takes you up to this stunning view - of me. Hahaha.

    Stay at Fort Ilocandia

    by D._Pepper Updated Jun 9, 2003

Whether you're a beach bum or a golfer, Fort Ilocandia is the best base for touring the Ilocos provinces - Norte (North) and Sur (South). Laoag is in the North, and the international airport that services it has direct flights to and from Taipei and Hong Kong.

This church was built by the Agustinians in 1612 which was Italian Renaissance inspired. Unfortunately, this is already not in its original color.

Drive up the Coast to Pagudpud

From Laoag, it is a short one hour drive to Pagudpud - one of the best beaches I've seen. The way to Pagudpud is stunningly scenic.
