the Sinking Bell Tower which dates back to around 1783..........the bell tower is called as such because earth movements have over the centuries caused it to sink and visitors need to bend and stoop to get through the entrance........
An interesting side trip is a visit to the Marcos Museum and Mausoleum at Batac. The museum contains memorabilia and press clippings of the late president, while his embalmed body is on display in a refrigerated crypt next door.
Have you ever been inside a lighthouse? The Cape Bojedor Lighthouse should be easy to climb up to, even for the not so fit. A tight but beautiful spiral staircase takes you up to this stunning view - of me. Hahaha.
Whether you're a beach bum or a golfer, Fort Ilocandia is the best base for touring the Ilocos provinces - Norte (North) and Sur (South). Laoag is in the North, and the international airport that services it has direct flights to and from Taipei and Hong Kong.
after visiting paoay church, we visit malacañang of the north - the official residence of late president marcos....
i saw marcos not in pic only but personally lying on his cold coffin...but no pics allowed so we just take a pic outside...
From inside the Malacanang of the North, you can get a spectacular view of the Paoay Lake & the golf course of Fort Ilocandia.
This church was built by the Agustinians in 1612 which was Italian Renaissance inspired. Unfortunately, this is already not in its original color.
One of the biggest and interesting baroque churches in the Philippines is Paoay church, otherwise known as St. Augustine church.
i wanted to see what the buzz is all about so we took a tricycle and went to see fort ilocandia...... the place is pretty!
you'll find many old items here that filipinos used for their everyday life a long time ago..... if you want to see how a typical ancestral house looks like, you can also find it inside....
From Laoag, it is a short one hour drive to Pagudpud - one of the best beaches I've seen. The way to Pagudpud is stunningly scenic.
