Legaspi Airport Hotel: All You Can Eat!

Conveniently located at the Legaspi Airport Compound, the restaurant is a food haven for travellers who fly in and out of the city. Their Breakfast Buffet cost P149.00 while Lunch Buffet cost P199.00. We were only able to try the Lunch Buffet which had mostly Filipino food such as Adobo, Ginataang Langka, Tinolang Manok, Pork Steak, Fried Porkchop, Fried Tuna and Pansit Bihon. Desserts were slices of local fruits. I was a bit disappointed because I was looking forward to eating a lot of Bicol dishes and seafood. Only the Ginataang Langka was Bicolano, and it did have small crabs, so I guess that was it. Considering the price, the meal was more than OK.

Favorite Dish: Hands down, it was the Ginataang Langka with Crabs. I was craving for seafood and anything with coconut milk on my trip to Bicol, so I got both in one dish. Just be ready to use your hands in eating. Although the ambiance was kinda classy, I just had to go "kamayan".

Bigg's Diner: Food Trip

We initially thought that the diner was an American franchise. On the contrary, it was a Bicol homegrown restaurant which started decades ago. The meals are, however, world class (as a diner, of course). Their menu is typical American fastfood, with burgers, chicken and baby back ribs, with surprisingly Filipino dishes like goto and tokwa't baboy. The food was good, filling and the prices very reasonable. One of the most expensive food was the baby back ribs with rice and veggies on the side which only cost P200.00. If you're not that much into local food, but tired of the usual fastfood joints, then Bigg's is your best option in Legaspi.

Food that reminds you of typical Bicolano home cooked meals! A local hang out after work or after a tennis match at the RES. Week-end place for a get-together! Has pleasing waitresses, great service and great value for money!

Favorite Dish: Sizzling sisig, spicy cheese sticks, sizzling garlic mushroom, adobong kambing!
