Travel light. I suggest taking a backpack. For moving around, a belt bag or body bag will do.
Shirt and shorts are acceptable, although there are some shrubbery areas where you are most likely to get scratches on exposed legs and arms. At bedtime, a cotton pajama set is suggested as it covers your arms and legs both from the cold and from insects. Wear comfortable shoes for long walks and good traction shoes for hiking. Some areas are muddy and slippery, like the rice fields. Bring a cap for protection against the sun and windbreaker against the rains.
Insect repellant or cream for insect bites. Plastic strips may also come handy for your blisters. For good measure, medicines for fever, body ache (after all that hike), and indigestion (for all that food).
Camera, camera, camera. And, don't forget the case, to protect your camera from getting wet especially inside the caves.
Flashlight is a must, especially when night descends. There are no (or very few to notice) street lamps, so finding your way from the restaurant row to your lodging house is a concern. Ggrrrr. Well, better bring your own portable water heater. The water coming out from the faucet in the morning is really ice-cold. At mid-day, it becomes bearable. Leave a Comment

Mt. Ampacao by asianbelle Sagada maybe remote, but it has access to cellular/mobile phone technology. Both Globe and Smart services are available, but Smart has stronger signal. Why? Well, it's transmitter is located at the peak of Mt. Ampacao, which incidentally is the highest point in Sagada. Leave a Comment

Trekking sandals by nimato Foremost - the backpack. A water-proof belt bag is also advisable so you can bring your essential stuffs like wallet and digicam anywhere you go.
Clothing: It's a must to bring warm but light clothings in Sagada because of its year-round cold weather. Sagada gets more chilly from December to February. Shoes: Hiking shoes and sandals are all that you need.
With all the hiking and spelunking, bring something for muscle pains.
Don't forget your DIGICAM and spare rechargeable batteries. Make sure your memory card has enough storage space as you would not want to miss many photo ops. It would be great if your digicam has a water-proof casing so you can take pictures inside the cave with the underground river. Sumaguing Cave has a lot of interesting stalactite/ stalagmite formations such as the brain, the king's curtain, the mini-rice terraces, the pregnant woman, the elephant head, etc.
You may opt to bring camping gears (tent, cookwares, etc.) if you plan to camp at Mt. Ampacao.

Take a backpack with you. since, you'll be on the road. it's a lot more convenient.
Sagada is cold even during the summer. note, it's a lot lot more colder than Baguio. hiking shoes are recommended.
Bring thoe muscle relaxant, pain reliever , medicated plasters. your muscle might get shock from those hiking the whole day!
You wouldnt want to miss those moments right?! bring those cameras, take extra rolls of films, memory sticks. and the batteries. also place it in a ziplock bag to protect it from moisture specially inside the cave. or better yet if you have an underwater case it would be a great help.
You can ask the person in the municipal hall to help you set up with the bonfire. they have a corresponding fee. just check out the municipal hall.
Bring cash, they dont have atm machines.

Try not to bring too much. im a really heavy packer, so i had a hard time carrying my stuff around while travelling.
we were there last february, the coldest time of the year. be sure to bring warm clothing like sweaters, jackets, gloves, bonnets. if you're going trekking, use the appropriate shoes because some areas, like the ones going to the underground river, could be really slippery. i would also advise bringing rubber slippers if you're going to the small falls or underground river, unless you want to cross the river barefoot.
dont worry if you forgot to bring toiletries. most stores have almost everything you need.
never forget to bring your camera. there's so much to see here, you'd want to show them to other people when you get back. its been a month since we went there, but i still look at the pictures we took almost everyday. =)
bring flashlight, especially if you're planning to go out at night. there are no street lights, so its pretty dark outside.

Yes, Backpacks are a must... for easy storage on the bus compartment to the convenience it shall bring you trekking and hiking. A belt bag would be good for your important knik knaks.
Wear something light... and those that dry easily especially when going to the caves and the falls. When in Sagada, it's gonna be all about walking so Rubber shoes or those hiking sandals would do you a great favor. SUN BURN!!!!! Yes! you could really get sunburned.. and tanned up in SAgada, so if you wouldn't relish brining home your "tanned souvenir", you might as well bring some good sunblock with you before you give the day a go go.
Almost every store could provide you with your toiletry needs especially those up fronting the municipal hall.
..oh for photos? just make sure it gets really waterproofed when going to the caves. Bring lots of memory cards for emergencies (^o^). But Some computer shops like that at the George Guesthouse could transfer your pictures to CDs for you.
Camping gears would be an otpion if you plan to go to Sagada by the peaks seasons.. cause, chances are (especially if you arrive like a day before the holidays or on the very holiday itself), you might find yourself knocking at doors for an accomodation. So a camping gear could be a contingency .. and set it up at the parish grounds. Don't forget to ask for permiddon at the rectory before setting up camp.
Don't forget your USB cables for your digicams, ziplocks, sunblocks, good sunglasses, light windbreakers for the rains,

bags with reliable locks (doors in the inns can be too flimsy), inflatable pillow for that sore back during the long travel, backpacks highly recommended, not your hardy trolley luggage
non-slip footwear or sandals (in case you go caving), poncho or wide raincoat to cover you and your backback (in case of rain), umbrella not necessary, warm, lightweight clothes for ease of travel and transfers
almost all basic toiletries and medical supplies are available, tampons may be scarce or not available
if you go caving, bring a reliable camera with good low light capability, and if you can, a waterproof model, a small tripod may be a good help (a big one will be cumbersome during hikes and climbs)
