    Sagada Weaving: Local made items

by trisanna Written Aug 11, 2005

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Local weavers at work making purses, bags and other items from local textiles from the region. This store has fixed prices, so don't haggle. Many of the school children in the region use Sagada Weaving bags.

There is a larger Sagada Weaving store in Baguio, near SM mall. They have great souvenirs.

The market day for Sagada is every Saturday only, in front of the Saint Joseph..(main street)
Locals sell their fresh produce, (vegetables and fruits) on the makeshift stalls, ...
The sellers are very friendly and enjoy talking to the tourists, they would offer some sample, for you to taste, before buying..

What to buy: The fruits being sold are very fresh and just harvested on early morning of market day.. Try the Sagada oranges, .. and freshly boiled peanuts..

What to pay: Cash, peso only
