the nightlife is amazing. in subic bay there were night clubs for a mile on both sides of the street. all you had to do was pick your favorite. for example country, rock and roll, or rhythm and blues.there are outside bars. such as mariposa. at least this was true when i was there. it does not matter how you dress when you are clubbing as long as you are comfortable.

The nightlife in Manila is excellent, with clubs and bars everywhere. If you like gambling try Casino Filippino. Don't try going out until midnight though. Like most other spots outside the US, nightlife starts and ends late. Dressy to casual in Manila. Dressed up at the clubs.

THE BEACH AT SUNSET!: THE BEACH AT SUNSET!

by guapocano

There are NO NIGHTCLUBS or BARS in Limasawa. This is a very beautiful, primitive and religious island. In fact, this is the exact place where Ferdinad Magellane held the very first Catholic Mass in the Philippines.

Well let's see, the entire road is lined with bars, but I would have to choose The Red Bull!!! Of course that's what it was called back then! It was a sort of country bar with a mechanical bull in the middle of a horseshoe shaped dance floor. It was too much fun watching all those sailors get 'tanked' and try to ride that silly thing. I bet they regreted it the following morning when they were singing soprano instead of tenor. Most of the clubs on the main strip right outside the base were exactly what stereotyped Naval Ports are supposed to be. Most had dancers and shall we say 'escorts'. But aside from all of that Subic was a nice place and definately one that would make an impact on your memories of the 'wild and wooly' days. Whatever you want!!

If you must go to Manila (the capital city) be sure to stay in downtown area near Malate if your interested in night life after the day city tour. Malate is THE place to be and very accessible. The Libis area in Quezon City is also getting hyped up to be the new place to hang out and be seen. Unless you're at the more upscale Ortigas or Makati area, you can pretty much come as you are. You can go as wild as you want if you dont mind the stares and whispers -- and the occassional laughters at your expense.

Swagman Hotel

by CliffClaven

The Swagman Hotel in Manila has been looking after guests for more than 20 years. Book a room and they'll come to collect you at the airport. And their Aussie bar is a mecca for travellers looking for useful tips, entertaining conversation and ice cold beer. Now that the wild days of the Ermita district are just a memory - the action, now more sedate, has moved elsewhere in the city - the Outback bar is as good a place as any to spend an evening.

In Manila, the big hotels have Disco Clubs (The term has survived here to describe Dance Clubs). Music varies from European beats(techno) to Hip Hop depending on the local DJ. The Adult Nightlife prevalent in Olongapo and Ermita/Mabini Area has all but dwindled to a more scattered place around Manila and Quezon City. A number of Videoke bars have also arose and some Ballroom Dancing is currently 'in'. San Miguel Beer is still the best tasting beer in the world(according to my humble opinion as I have tasted all kinds) Casual to Semi Casual.

Don't have just one. My local friends take me to many spots. The large hotels in Manila have good discos and the music is hot. Guys can also hit some of the hostess bars in Makati; not expensive and you won't have trouble finding someone to sit with you. Interestingly, many of the ladies just like to talk and there are actually puzzle-type games one can play with them while drinking and talking.Great way to meet Pinoys and Pinays in their leisure hours away from the office. You always feel welcome. Pretty casual, but shorts/cutoffs are too casual.
