Olongapo Things to Do

  • GRANDFATHER OF THE CITY

You will find the massive statue of Ulo Ng Apo at the roundabout in Bajac-Bajac glorifying the legend of the city. Ulo Ng Apo actually means 'old man's head' and accpording to the legend the Olongapo area was home to many warring tribes, but a wise old man tried to unite the tribes, but one day the old man suddenly disappeared. Sometime later the...

If you are a cOngee mammal.. you should visit Arby's. Their serving of plain congee alone can get you full tank not discounting its good taste pa.. They also serve goto, rice toppings of beef and chicken and other mura meriendas.. so if you are in Olongapo taz ur on a tight budget or you simply want to go congee for snax.. ehdi mag Arby's.

Favorite Dish: Their P20.00 congee.. it's what they're famous of.

Olongapo Transportation

  • EXPRESS BUS TO ANGELES

Normally buses will leave every hour to Dau, the bus station that you need for Angeles City, Clark Airport. Make sure that you board the bus that takes the toll road, expressway and you will reach Dau in an hour. The bus passes through hilly countryside and is quite a scenic route. The fare was 140 pesos at the time of writing. The Dau Bus terminal...

  • VICTORY LINER

Victory Liner Bus Station is the biggest one in town as it seems to monopolize the bus routes, to Manila and the Zimbales Coast. As usual there are a/c buses with free wi-fi. Manila is best part of 3 hours away and buses go to various destinations in the city. Buses also go north to Baguio and Dau exchange just outside Angeles.

I didn't expect to visit this shop but I had. Anyway, after choosing a phone, I was not able ... to pay by credit card (was rejected several time), nor cash (credit card rejected in the ATM) and after my 1st visit to a money changer (euros not accepted).
The 3rd time was the right one (an other money changer) after may-be 30 minutes between my OK and the effective payement.

The staff was always comprehensive and friendly even if they already strated to... repack the phone after my 2nd come back.

What to buy: Cellphones + accessories (batteries, ...)

What to pay: According to my understanding, price are cheaper in Olongapo/Subic compared to Manila
