Night spots in Ormoc usually come and go. The IN place the last 12 months is called Bebidas. It's the place to be and be seen so they say. It is usually full at night. They serve coffee and cakes, beer, mixed drinks and "pica-pica"(finger foods that go best with beer and alcoholic drinks). All kinds of people go there; students, professionals, business people, and families. Beer is really really cold which is a plus. Coffee and cakes are okay.
The place itself is actually small. At night they set tables and chairs outside. And it gets full of people. The wall across it though smells of urine and can be really distracting especially when you're in emptying your beer bottle and the wind happens to blows you can be sure of inhaling a noseful of human excretion.
Across Bebidas is Pardi's Grill. They serve bbq in all forms: chicken, pork, chicken heart liver, pork liver, chorizos. They also serve beer.
For some who just want beer without dressing up, they just go the plaza along the sea wall and buy from make shift stalls who appear at night and disappear on daybreak. San Mig Light is still at P30, same price in bebidas sans the table napkin and cool music.
Lots of people also go to the plaza to eat tempura. Dont be fooled by it's name. It's just shrimp flavored flour and shaped like a shrimp tempura. Siomai (pork and flour dumplings)stands have also mushroomed.
