We frequent Columbia Sportswear Shop not only for its wide array of high quality sporting goods, but also for the personalized attention given to customers by the store personnel. They are well informed of all their merchandise. They do not "tail" customers while looking for stuff, but they graciously assist the customers in their needs when called. They patiently look for sizes, too. My husband appreciates this personalized service. Andrew and/or Lester go out of their way to text hubby on the arrival of merchandise that might have been unavailable or out of stock during hubby's visit to the store. We are also alerted via sms when the shop is going on sale, and they have some kind of a patronage promo for loyal customers.

My daughter and I were intrigued by the name of the shop and the Ninoy Aquino and Cory Aquino T-Shirts on display so we entered to see what items are being sold. This is one shop where "Balikbayans" or foreign tourists can buy souvenir t-shirts.
What to buy: Aside from the Ninoy and Cory memorabili t-shirts, there are also shirts with embroidered map of the Philippines and shirts with quotations, mostly from Ninoy Aquino

SM MOA is known for many FIRSTS, it being the first major mall undertaking at the Bay City (a land reclamation wonder in the Manila Bay area) with the first Olympic-sized skating rink, the first IMAX cinema in the Philippines and the first giant solar-powered Christmas tree. The Surplus Shop, as the name suggests, sells factory overruns. You can find mostly Gap, Old Navy, H&M, Anne Taylor, Nike and other fairly known clothes brands here.
You need to be careful, though, because a select few appear to be fake. In addition, because they are surplus, you need to watch out for stains, rips and the like.
The SM Mall of Asia branch is smaller than my favorite branches in SM Megamall and SM Makati. This came as a surprise to me as the size of Surplus Shops are relative to the size of the SM Mall. This is one of the smallest branches I have seen!
What to buy: Clothes, clothes, clothes! You have women's clothing, men's clothing, children's clothing. They have bags and other accessories, too.
What to pay: All major credit cards are accepted.
