Each month (weather permitting) a friendly group of tourists and expats board a wooden banca (outrigger boat) and head off for a romantic full moon trip to Cubay Beach on mainland Panay Island. There, on the beach, under the stars, they eat, drink and dance the night away with live DJ's.
News of these parties is usually spread by word of mouth, but if you are on the island around full moon, pop in and ask at Lapu Lapu Dive Centre (near Summer Place) or just ask around. Shhh!
Wear whatever you fancy - something comfortable. Bring a sarong, and bear in mind that you'll have to wade through a little water when boarding and disembarking from the boat. Leave a Comment

BomBom bar is one of the coolest places on the island. It's a place where locals and tourists gather in the evenings and chill. Beachside, there is a small stage where local musicians get up and jam, vocalists soar and the rhythmic pulsation of Island drummers fills the air. All within an hour. on the other side of White Beach path, there is a comfortable dimly lit bar, where good drinks and better conversation may be had. Above the bar is a really cool magnet that catches all of the San Mig caps. You'll often see the brtender flicking caps UP!

Live music - one or two guys are playing the guitar every night at this nice joint (Pink Floyd, reggae, local music, songs on demand). Open until 1.30 am.
Situated as close to the beach as you can get. Nice staff and Filipino owner. Relaxed environment.
Beers from average 40 PHP (25PHP when happy hour)
There's a pool table inside the bar.

Cocomangas is famous for it's "Still Standing After 15" drinking challenge. If you're up for the challenge of downing 15 different kinds of shooters, just make your way to the other part of Cocomangas in the back. Should you be successful, you get a souvenir "Still Standing After 15" T-shirt and your name engraved on their wall of fame.
