    Kurt's

This is a native style bar & restaurant, run by a friendly Bavarian guy named Kurt and his Filipina wife Mags. They serve a variety of delicious European and Filipino dishes, as well as being one of the best places to meet people and chat. Kurt's is also one of the few bars in Boracay to serve draft beer and is the only place to serve Bavarian Weizenbier.
To date, he has probably the longest happy hour you'll find on the island, from 2 - 8pm! If you are really in the mood, you can now order a barrel of beer for your table (good for roughly 12 glasses) for only P500, or P350 during happy hour. Bargain!

For a starter, the french onion soup topped with toasted bread and cheese is delicious, & I love the jagerschnitzel (pork cutlet) with pan fried potatoes and mushroom gravy, and the huge portions of delicious beef roll. What may be slightly lacking in presentation is more than made up for in taste.
I have also become quite addicted to the Hungarian sausage and chips and the Goulash with Spetzl. The portions are very generous, and the company is so friendly, you'll have a hard time leaving. They also serve a selection of sausages, curries, steak, soups, sandwiches, salads and freshly brewed coffee.

  • Sundown - Boracay Island
    Sundown
    by sirenna
Sundown is in a lovely peaceful location, serving European and Filipino food right on the beach-front. You can enjoy your food sitting on cushions on the sand, or sit at a table if you prefer. There is plenty to choose from on the menu - a variety of soups, salads, omelettes, sandwiches, sausage, cold cuts, pizza, steak, seafood and more. Breakfasts and lunches are also served.
There is a well stocked deli serving meats, cheeses. pasta, pickles, wine and imported goods.
They also have an extensive wine list.

Last night's 4 course set meal consisted of soup, salad, seafood spaghetti and banana fritters for P195. Bargain!
You should also try the homemade cakes, crepes and apfel strudel.

Zuzuni Restaurant, a Greek owned Hotel and Resstaurant doesnt only offer a nice location to customers but also good service and great food.

They have a huge serving for breakfast and choices of either continental or american breakfast.

You can request them to serve your food near the beach. They have an umbrella and small chairs and tables for you to have a sunny breakfast :-)

A romantic place to have dinner coz its overlooking the sea. Avergae taste for their Australian beef. Average service and presentation of food.

Just on the next block of sand castle resort.

Not necessarily our favorite dish but this are actually the ones we ordered.

Whether you are exhausted from a shopping spree in the mall, or just want to escape from the crowds on White Beach, Crafty's Bar is a great place to enjoy a meal and a drink. Situated on the roof of the new Craft's superstore, the bar and coffee shop offer excellent views of the sunset - bring your camera.
Despite being relatively new, the place already has a crowd of devoted regular customers, lured back time and time again by the tasty food and friendly company.
The location is a plus too - being so high up, Crafty's always catches a nice breeze, and there are no mosquitos.

I have developed quite an addiction to their sandwiches! As well as regular white and brown bread, you can also order them on Ciabatta or Foccacia bread. There is a wide range of deli fillings to choose from - my favourite is the smoked salmon with cream cheese, but the steak with caramelised onions and the chicken with roasted vegetables are also really good. I have yet to work my way through the entire menu.
Other tasty treats include breakfasts (possibly the best English breakfast on the island), baked potatoes (with choice of fillings), burgers, salads, toasted sandwiches, stuffed potato skins and delicious cakes.
UPDATE! Crafty's Bar have recently started serving quite an extensive menu of Indian food, and the meal I ate there a few nights ago was excellent.
The bar also has the widest selection of imported beers in Boracay.

Arguably the best food in Boracay, the restaurant at Fridays hotel offers a large variety of different dishes and every night has a theme, for example, Italian night, Mediterranean night, Korean night, and my favourite, the all-you-can-eat buffet on Friday (P750 per head). Happy hour is from 3-6pm daily, drinks are 2 for 1.

The steaks are legendary, and the buffet is a must - soup, pasta, sushi, salad, cold cuts, cheeses, prawns, beef, lamb, seafood and more, and (this is the really good bit) unlimited access to the dessert trolley!
Dishes available from the main menu include smoked salmon with cream cheese and pesto, pate de fois gras, duck breast (magret de canard), prawn and lobster bisque, New Zealand lamb cutlets, seared fillet of lapu-lapu and nasi goreng.

This is a friendly little beachfront coffee shop run by mother and daughter team Nadine and Lee.
They are open from 7am until 7 pm serving cakes, sandwiches, pancakes, brownies, omelettes and more.
Real Coffee is a bit of an institution on the island, and it's a popular place to meet people and chat.
The coffee is rumoured to be the best in Boracay, although I don't drink coffee myself - I just go there for the food. Non coffee lovers can choose from a selection of fresh juices and shakes.

Tuna melt sandwiches! Chocolate brownies that melt in the mouth! Or try the Jack-O-Lean Omelette with tuna, onion, tomato, cheese and pesto. Comes with toast. Delicious!
New on the menu is the Chicken Melt (with cheese) - my personal favourite. The watermelon & pineapple juice goes down a treat on a hot day too.

This native style snack bar is a great place to go for breakfasts and lunches. For such a small place, they have quite an interesting menu. Choose from a selection of salads, sandwiches, schnitzel, rosti, sausages, omelettes, fruit pancakes, muesli etc.
You can also order tzatziki or hummus with pitta bread, fruit juices, shakes, tea and coffee.
It's a friendly little place, and relatively inexpensive.

The Hawaiian Sandwich is delicious, so is the Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich. Try the mango and banana pancakes with syrup too.
