If you want a permanent tattoo in Boracay Island, Philippines... DO NOT go Buday Tattoo at station 2. One of the guys there with ear, nose, lip, face earrings worked on my arm and he really did messed it up. He cannot draw straight lines, not paying attention to his work, careless and don't care of his work. I had to spend more money to have another artist redo my arm.
stay away from BUDAY TATTOO in boracay.
Henna Tattoo & Hair Braid are trademarks of Boracay. Aside from tanned skin, these two are popular proofs that one has gone to Boracay.
The prices for these two fun services vary... so try canvassing first for the best price. Don't be shy to haggle, especially if you are two or more.
In our case, we were able to get the tattoo @ 150.00 per person. Not bad! And we get to enjoy it for 2 to 3 weeks.
It used to be that henna tattoos were done only in shops. In our recent Boracay trip, I noticed that there are so many henna tattooists in the beach area, so that brought down the cost of Henna tattoos. Price range vary according to size (surface area) and complexity of design, from P150, to a high 300 to 550. Shhh, you can even haggle for lower cost.
The tattooists have a chart as reference for the designs, but you can request for some modification in the design.
The tattoo can last from 1 to 2 weeks, depending on how often you wash it, and the quality of henna used.
Tattoo artists are everywhere in the island and they are ready to show their impressive tattoo designs portfolio to any prospect. So if you have the thought of having one for fun, let them do it for you, the henna tattoo. if you love to have some marks for lifetime, go ahead for the permanent ones. Don't worry, they are using disposal needles. Talk to them and inform very well.
We had the hennas, a must for Boracay goers!
only 3 USD on the average will put a smile on your kids' face, perfect for adults too....instead of getting the henna tattoo which stains bedsheets and you pay the price for it too, get the glitter tattoo's instead....
Depending on the design and size of the henna tattoo, price may range from P150-P500. I got mine for P200 (see thumbnail). There are a number of tattoo stalls along the beachwalk but the designs and prices are almost the same.
Been dying to have a tatoo which you can change the design or remove aterwards? yeah, Henna Tatoo is the solution for that.
Many stalls are offering this service. Price ranges form 100-500 pesos depending on the design. Just bargain!
When I went to Boracay with friends early this year I enjoyed the airbrushed temporary tattoos prvided by Skin Canvass! I loved the colors, the many colorful designs to choose from and the fact that the ink used was hypoallergenic!!!! And the application only takes seconds to dry! I've sensitive skin and i'm afraid of henna because I've a friend who had one and he had chemical burn the following day! It turned out he is allergic to henna. He still has the scar of the henna tattoo even today. I'm afraid of needles as well so a real tattoo is not for me. You should try it! My tattoo even glowed under UV light! It's amazing really.. My friends also enjoyed the airbrushed tattoos! I even saw children enjoying the colorful airbrushed tattoos!Congratulations to you Cebuano artists for putting up Skin Canvass in Boracay!
Go visit their stall at Boracay and enjoy the Skin Canvass experience! :-)
They say your boracay experience wont be complete without having a henna tattoo... Guess again! My summer experience in boracay turned out to be one of a kind! Never thought colored temporary tattoos are offered, but then again... I guess I turned out to be completely wrong! A bunch of guys from Cebu, quite a bunch I must say, are now giving visitors to boracay a new kind of body art experience... forget about the black henna tattoos, now there's colored tattoos in boracay! so cool! SkinCanvass body art, I guess thats the name, is now the cooloest, hippest and newest fad in Boracay! Costs basically the same with the henna tattoos depending on the sizes of the design but its colored so its practically cheaper. They not only create wonderful, realistic temporary tattoos, but the paints they used were totally hypo-allergenic! They dont last as long as henna though, about 10days to be exact, but hey, who's complaining! Unlike Henna tattoo, I dont have to keep my arms stiff for a long time waiting for that darn gooey henna ink to dry cuz these colored tattoos dries immediately. And they use airbrush in applying the tattoos. Did I forget to mention that it takes only less than 2 minutes for a skincanvass tattoo to be completely finished! Not only that, imagine my facial expression when after having a Skincanvass colored tattoo done on me, I walked along D'mall and to my greatest surprise, the tattoo in my arms was GLOWING! Yes, you got me right, The Skincanvass tattoos glows under black light! I talked to one of the artist, they say they are going to manila soon! Cant wait! I must say, hats off to the SKINCANVASS TATTOO GUYS IN BORACAY!
The feeling of being a grown-up by my young boy must have been satisfied when he got a henna on his upper arm extending to his back. It was a "mean dragon spitting fireballs". Got to wear sleeveless shirt all the time though to show the P100 work. And before I forget, not to be outdone, my 3-year old girl had her butterfly henna, too. (And the meter keeps on rolling!)
To get a good print, let it dry for at least an hour untouched.
Watch local artists at work, get a henna tattoo or have a hand-painted t-shirt personally created for you.... the Plazoleta is the best place on the island to shop for native arts and crafts. There are little shops selling unusual jewelry, hand-made leather bags, musical instruments, paintings and beautifully made handicrafts. If you are in search of an unusual souvenir or unique present, this is the place to come.
My wife and I brought the idea many years ago from Bali to Boracay: Henna tattoo. Today you will find Henna tattoo artists in numbers all along White Beach. Young and Old is enjoying this fun. It does not cost you much, there is no pain and the best at all: It will not last longer than a week - Henna Tattoo - may be one of the best souvenirs you can bring back home! If you like to get the real thing - the ever lasting one: Try Noel`s Tattoo Shop. I got my ones from him. An tribal artist with spirit - clean - safe - not expensive.
when in the beautiful island of boracay, get yourself a tattoo... mine was only henna of course...lol
but it's good for about 2 to 3 weeks and doesnt cost an arm and a leg... just about US$2 thereabouts.... cheap!!.. and fun!!!
men... don't leave bora without getting tattooed. we all know this is one of the best thing we should have while we were in the island.
now is your chance to get a non permanent tattoo! for just P50 to P100 (depending on the size), you can flaunt your new tattoo with your new swim wear ;)
