Each month (weather permitting) a friendly group of tourists and expats board a wooden banca (outrigger boat) from Boracay and head off for a romantic full moon trip to Cubay Beach, Malay, on mainland Panay Island. There, on a private beach under the stars, they eat, drink and dance the night away with live DJ's.
For a set fee, boat transfers, buffet and welcome drinks are provided, though facilities are basic. There's a small bamboo bar/shelter and funky installations provided by local artists.
News of these parties is usually spread by word of mouth, but if you are on the island around full moon, pop in and ask at Lapu Lapu Dive Centre (near Summer Place) or just ask around. Shhh, don't tell everyone!
Dress Code: Wear whatever you fancy - something comfortable. Bring a sarong, and bear in mind that you'll have to wade through a little water when boarding and disembarking from the boat. Leave a Comment Theme: Other
