Orange-color trikes
The tricycle drivers at the airport can immediately spot the newbies in the city. Probably, it was the way we carried ourselves - looking lost - that we became easy prey for them. When we inquired at the Tourist Center, we were informed that a one-way trike ride to New Washington (next town to Kalibo) is P80. However when we approached a trike driver, he was charging us P150 one-way claiming that our destination is already another town and far. When we asked around for another way to go to the city proper (where we plan to get another ride to New Washington), the others discouraged us; we were told that it is difficult to get a ride along the highway, because the jeeps or trikes were already taken. It seems that the drivers of the orange-color trikes are a solid group :-(Finally, we agreed to a round trip price of P250 including a one hour waiting time while we tour Sampaguita Gardens...
