  • Go To Batanes Now, Otherwise...

Batanes Local Government is reportedly going to adopt a policy limiting the number of visitors in the next 3 to 5 years. What is the rationale behind this policy controlling the entry of tourists? Batanes can accommodate as many as 20,000 tourists a year, yet they are intent at limiting their visitors. Why? Local government officials are decisive...

Of the three lighthouses in Batanes, Sabtang Lighthouse is not (at least when we went there) accessible to tourists.
