    Tough finding a place to eat

    When you are in Anilao, make sure you plan your meals. Spontaneity is not rewarded here. We were out snorkeling near Sombrero Island, got hungry and decided to look for a place to eat. Went to Sepok Beach but the food is exclusive for Eagle Point visitors, stopped by two more resorts and it's the same story, they are exclusive.

    Going to the market at the main pier was out of the question because it's too far away and would double our boat rent. So we had no choice but to go back to Crystal Blue. We ordered the food, and it took maybe an hour before it was served. Good thing we had some bread that carried us through...

    Strong current during full moon

    Take note of the day when you are scheduling snorkeling in Anilao. We were there during full moon (during daytime!) and the current/waves were really strong. You can easily drift away from the boat. Three persons in our group got really dizzy and threw up...
