Taal has always been a favorite place for students to visit. 30 to 1 hours drive from Makati, college students go there to enjoy the view and eat in the various restaurants that offer the panorama. It has now become one of the favorite night time drinking spots/hangouts by bar frequenters. Along the road, you will find various establishments that offer different kinds of ambiance from the very chic to the very affordable. There is no dress code. Everybody is very relaxed here. Well, except for a few restaurants probably, you can come in dressed as casually as you wish. Although to play it safe, you might want to dress up a bit for Filipinos like to go out in style. Casual but neat would probably be best. At night, you may have to bring a jacket specially if the restaurant or bar you are going to is an open-air one. It can get pretty cold in Tagaytay once the sun sets.
