Gloria, Arnold, Rowie and the Tilapia Lunch

The tables are under thatched roof shelters. There is a nice breeze off the lake and a view of the volcano while you eat.

Favorite Dish: Still the fried pla-pla (large) tilapia fish, garlic rice, grilled eggplant and crab soup.

Gloria de Castro's Restaurant

Gloria de Castro's was recommended as a place to stay in Talisay in the Lonely Planet book. Unfortunately, their only air conditioned room was already rented. However, their menu looked good and the location is lovely, so we decided to have lunch there. The food was delicious and reasonably priced (~100 pesos each), so we ended up eating all our meals there over two days. Her boat to Taal Island was also reasonably priced at 1000 pesos.

Favorite Dish: Maybe it was because it was the first meal, but the fried pla-pla (large) tilapia fish, garlic rice, grilled eggplant and crab soup were wonderful.
