    by Funtabulous5 Updated May 11, 2007

this was a very relaxing day at villa aurea - Friends consisting of 7 families travelled about 2.5 to 3 hours to calatagan batangas. We arrived just before lunch, rented a changing room (just to put our stuff) then loaded our food, coolers with lots of ice and drinks and beach stuff on 2 rafts tied together. one raft had a kubo and one had grill area and table and benches. the moment we were all on the big raft, we started to grill the fish and barbeque, etc. several manongs started to push our big raft farther down the ocean where the water was waist deep. the moment we got there, the kids started jumping into the water one by one. When the food was ready, everyone got back on the raft... and after a few minutes... the food was gone! And the kids again jumped into the water to play. There is a sand bar very near and we all had fun there. They area has grey but fine sand, very clear water with lots of starfish and other small fish. At about 4:30, we all walked back to the shore cause it was low tide already and we could no longer move the raft.

all aboard! sand bar pushing the raft still on sand bar during low tide on raft just eating and drinking
