As you are in Bohol, does not matter you stay at Alone Beach area or Panglao Beach or wherever, there are many tours and guides which you can join in for this amazing adventure ...
The boat stops and your guide warns you to wear on your life jacket, omg, how is it possible to dive and snorkel as the life-vest tries to keep you on the water, lol ... :)
Anyway, the coral formation underwater is such beautiful and I assume that fish are "get used" to snorkelers, as they come and check your fingers if you are holding a piece of bread or not to feed them .. Amazing colors of the fish and the plants under water ...
Most probably you will have your cam with you but as a regular cam as all do, but dont worry, just check with the guide before you embark the boat, cause most of them offer a "water sealed" case sothat you can put in your own cam and use under the water as normal.
Balicasag Island, Pamilacan Island and many more are options for you to choose for your next snorkeling and diving trip ... :)
Snorkeling in Bohol is an experience I cannot forget. It was so colourful down under.
According to our guide there are beautiful creatures that we can find like anthias, trigger fishes, anemone fishes, scorpion fishes, parrotfish, and damsel. Yes, it was colourful to see the many soft and hard corals as well as the butterfly fishes. I have seen most of them.

You can hire snorkel eqipment from any of the dive shops and wade into the water at the main beach. There is a drop off after about 80m so not too far to go.
If you wanted a guide to come with you he may charge a small fee but bewteen 10 of you this will be minimal.
