Please don't leave your child unattended at the mini-zoo. It is a common sight to see tourists giving the monkey something to eat so it will come near them. The monkey grabs the food so fast, his hands could scratch/shock the child.
The white sand at Dumaluan Beach is so fine, many are tempted to walk barefooted on the cold sand, with the wave occasionally splashing on one's legs. Because of this pleasurable walk on the beach, it is common for beachcombers to forget their slippers/sandals/marine shoes at the resort's beachfront. Be forewarned that though the sand infront of Bohol Beach Club is powdery fine, there are so many coral stones on the shore. You could have a cut on your sole if you walk barefooted over the sharp coral stones;-(
Should you wish to walk barefooted on the beach, tote your slippers/sandals/marine shoes so you can wear them on the stony part of the beach.
on any person you hire: driver, nanny, a washer, cook... that applies to the whole Philipines, you need to agree on the price and address that the price is the one you agreed and there is no further negotiations once the services are rendered.
we did try to help a massage lady that came to our spot on the beach by hiring his friends to baby sit our son, a driver to take us around, she even washed our clothes and when she delivered the clothes she asked for 5 $. We agreed on 3 $ and this is a pattern we feel happens with most locals in a country like philipines.
