    Bohol and its sub-islands/islets are surrounded by coral reefs - very lively and colorful marine life. It is understandable then that majority of the foreign visitors and local divers come for Scuba Diving in Bohol. Alona Beach in Panglao Island is where the major dive shops are located such that almost all of the outrigger boats uniformly painted white docked by the beach are geared for Scuba Diving/Whale Watching tours. Famous dive sites are the islands of Pamilacan, Cabilao, Balicasag and Panglao itself. Extensive reef formations around them. Check the link below.

    Scuba gears for rent at dive centers numbering about more than a dozen along the stretch of Alona Beach in Panglao Island. Other resorts somewhere else in Panglao Island would surely have the same diving tours to offer.

  • Genesis Divers made our whole diving experience really hassle free and enjoyable. We were mainly with Rene and Daniel, but also would like to thank Lur for his inimitable dry humour. All staff were professional and instructive. The boat crew knew what each other were thinking without words and we felt really well looked after and always safe. The hire kit I saw was in excellent condition (I didn't use it as I took my own). A great bunch of people who I would go to again when visit Panglao (hopefully soon!) All the DM's were available at the end of the day to discuss the days diving and relax with a beer. Everything from Food & Drinks for the boat to beers and Pizza after diving was just added to the slate for settling up at the end of the trip. I was pleasantly surprised how little it cost too.

    All gear is available and looked well maintained. Personally didn't need a wetsuit, but others were using 3mm shorties to 7mm full.
