Aesthetically, Dumaluan is prettier than Alona. Beach combers flock here because of its very shallow beach that resembles Boracay's White Beach. The most beautiful strip of Dumaluan is at Bohol Beach Club. There's a public beach strip here with cottages and a grill restaurant with reasonably priced good-tasting seafood menus. Address: Dumaloan Beach, Panglao Island, Bohol

Alona is the most talked about beach on Panglao perhaps because it's where resorts cram together. Leave a Comment

At dawn, take a 30 minute boat ride from Alona beach to an area of the sea towards Balicasag Island and see dolphins surface! You would be able to see them up close, if your boatman, can manage it. It's a fascinating experience - especially for children to see! I only hope that this activity won't cause the dolphins to move elsewhere!

Balicasag Island is 30-45 minutes by boat from Alona Beach. After dolphin watching we proceeded to Balicasag Island for scuba diving . One of the best parts of our stay. We went diving with Baywatch Divers. The cheapest so far. It's Filipino-owned. Our Intro dive master, Curly Butch, is a funny guy. If anyone ever meets him, kindly tell him Dr. "Turbo" (as he calls my husband teasingly) is extending his regards. The other Dive Master Gaga, pronounced Gaga^,is also a funny guy..Their secretary, Venus is a jolly and bubbly person. It's funny to see her helped the boatmen push the boat towards the sea , as if it will make any difference. :) Leave a Comment Address: Central Alona

Before diving, we stayed in one of the huts along the beach. They serve lunch .My friends had an abundant meal. I wasn't lucky , when we got back from diving, nothing was left except paksiw na galungong. So better inform them early and reserve. Leave a Comment Address: Balicasag
