These are the sailing times for the Cebu-Tagbilaran (2 hr. trip) route of Weesam Express:Morning6:40 8:40 11:00Afternoon 1 3:30 5:00 P250 as Sept 2005Just ask the cab driver to bring you to Pier 4, Cebu City. I like Ocean Jet and Supercat better than Weesam Express because the ferries are bigger, faster and have more comfortable seats. Be there at least 30 minutes before boarding especially if you don't have prior reservation or during summer months -March-May

Contact Bembem and ask about his self driven packages for vehicle. Arm yourself with a current map and off you go. The roads are easy to follow and there's lots of locals you can ask directions with.I highly recommend his fleet and tour.
After contacting many Bohol and Manila tour operators, I met Bembem. He operates the cars usually subcontracted by travel agencies. He gave me a better discount with the same clean vehicle. Note that the car's aircon is really working well because that's important when it is summer. He charged 1,800/car/10 hours. This does not include the entrance fees to the tour spots.
If you are planning a trip to Bohol, it pays to constantly check the 2 biggies, Philippine Airlines (PAL)and Cebu Pacific for limited time promos. That is how I snagged my PAL PHP4,300 ($87.75) for 2 adults last Nov12. I wanted to go back to Bohol and this time I took the Cebu Pacific promo fare for the same cost of PHP2,150 (43.87) each for the whole family.Too bad, I liked the timings of PAL because it made me feel like I gained one whole day instead of losing one whole day just to be in airports. Flight changes costs PHP600 per way plus the fare difference for PAL. Be wary when using Cebpac about the finality of your travel plans because refunding will be a bummer. My last online tkt purchased Dec2008 was refunded back to my credit card just this September.
Tricycles are everywhere in Tagbilaran (and other towns/cities). First tricycle owners will greet you at the pier where they fight for costumers - and it takes some good negotiation skills before you decide to take their service. It's fun way to get around; you will sit next to driver who will usually have plenty of information on where to visit and where to stay. It helps that you already know some information on place and price in advance. If your driver turns out to be good guy it's worth to keep his phone numer and most likely they're ready to pick you up somewhere. If he can speak English he can be your local guide (and cheaper than agency). Just remember - always set the price together before you take his service and make it clear what it covers. But as always be cautious; you need to watch to your belongings when travelling by tricycle as there are not only good people by the...
Local buses are the cheapest (and as you can see - most crowded) way to get around. It was amusing to watch how they often get loaded and full of passengers. We once took a short ride by ourselves in Loboc - and I wondered how to get in at all. Obviously they always find a place for you somewhere - if there was full inside you could still squeeze between the open doors. I was holding my grip very tight to wherever I could as it's not completely impossible to fall out from the bus with that speed and winding roads. Challenge and adventure for unaccustomed traveller! Others can climb up and sit on the roof - but men only and it looks even more dangerous.Pic one: a lady trying hard to get a place in the bus. A few days ago I had similar struggle.Pic two: guys enjoy the view and wind here on the roof. Not a place to sit if you have weak heart and weak bones.
Start your day early around 5am. Ride a tricycle to Dao Bus Terminal, there are buses going to Carmen. That is two hours ride to the chocolate hills. Just ask the conductor to drop you off in the Chocolate Hills complex. At around 7:30am, go back to loboc by riding Habal-habal..This is fun but don't forget to haggle with the driver, price range (250-400pesos). 8:30am, you can attend the mass if it's Sunday, or just go to the museum. You can also ride jeepneys going back to Tagbilaran.Don't forget to ride the river cruise with buffet..It's a must in loboc.
Supercat and Weesam Express have fastcrafts operate between Cebu and Bohol. The fare is the same for both company, 500P for the boat fare and 25P for the terminal feee. The trip takes around 1.5 hours. The fast craft is clean and comfortable but expensive.
