The St. Philomene Church in Alcala, Cagayan was built in the late 19th century. Built on the last colonizing years of the Spaniards, it is still noticeable of its Spanish-influence architecture which is common to most churches in Cagayan. Made of bricks, the church is noted to be the widest church in the province measuring 90 m. long and 30 m. wide.
