-There are two Camiguin Islands in the Philippines.-One is the Province of Camiguin , a pear-shaped volcanic island in the northern tip of Mindanao, located in Bohol Sea (South of the Philippines)-The other is from the 24 volcanic-coralline islands, Province of Cagayan - 20 miles (32 km) north of Luzon across the Babuyan Channel (North of the Philippines)-If you wish to visit the one located up north (near Batanes) and plan to collate the tips here in VT, be cautious for most if not all tips written in that Camiguin Island travel page located in the Babuyan Channel "pertain" to the one located in South (Sunken Cemetery, Katibawasan Falls, etc.)-See Google Map for reference

beware of canvassers at the port coz they will bring you to the cottages whom they can get commisions! transact only with d drivers and let them show their keys and licenses annd ask them f the're driving a public utility vehicle. avoid to transacts with fake travel egents as it affects the tourism business n camiguin.

Beware of touts or drivers who might try to divert you another accomodation by saying that the place you booked is already closed.Beware of drivers at the Benoni port who might claim to be the guy you booked. Validate them by asking who are they expecting and by ringing their cellphone number.

I, myself was a victim of robbery in Mantigue Island. If you decide to visit the island, pls be vigilant or better yet do not visit the island at all.The island is nice but the people are cannot be trusted.
