a very 'Yooneek' bar

It's our last night to enjoy the awesome paradise in Bantayan island.
My friends and I are walking along the shore when we saw this luminous bar.
I was fascinated by the signs posted in the bar when I took a closer look so I asked my friends to spend some time here and they agreed.

Yooneek Bar and Restaurant has its own resort, but the bar and resto is open for all.
It's 2 weeks before the Valentine's Day that's why red cupids and hearts are decorated within the bar that added the feeling of inviting anyone passing by. The signs/ boards posted on the bar's walls are very kinky and funny. Big heart shaped lanterns are hanging around the kubo (hut).

During ordinary days in Bantayan Resort, you won't hear any sound of music playing, only the sounds of waves and I find it very relaxing. Along the beach, only the Yooneek Bar and restaurant is alive with its luminous colorful lights surrounding the bar.

My friends and I got time for bonding- the conversations we had during that night with the sounds of waves and a cup of coffee is one of my fondest memory.

Van rental at Hagnaya port

When we were about to board the ferry to Bantayan, we were approached by a man who offered a Grandia van rental for our return trip to Cebu City. The rate was for P2000 for our group (8 pax) although more expensive than just taking the bus, decided to go for it.

However after spending a restful vacation in Bantayan, we were met by an innova van instead of the agreed Grandia van! With our bags there was not enough space for all of us. After much discussion we took pity on the driver and agreed to use the van for our return trip to Cebu.

During the 3 1/2 - 4 hours trip, we found out that the porters would just make arrangements with those drivers who bring passengers to the port, therefore it would not be definite what van would be available to meet you! The 2000 rate that the porters will quote to you includes their P500 commission. They will also asked you for a tip for making the van arrangement!. The lesson is to contact the rental service directly.

We got the contact number of our driver and we used the services of their group for our Cebu city tour.

Sometimes after Virgin Islands, boatmen will also take you to Halintagaan Island about 10 minutes from the island. Nothing fancy to see but it's a good opportunity to have a different Photo background. If you are willing to pay another entrance fee you can walk to a rocky shore and have a photo shoot there.
