Argao is located in the southeastern part of Cebu City, as u past Talisay, Naga City, San Fernando, Carcar City and drive about 60 km, u reach this perfect area, pure and quite beaches .... No tourists at all, perfect sand shores and crystal clear public beaches ...
U can rent just for a 200p a cottage for the whole day and enjoy sun and sea, several small stores are there for snacks, drinks etc .... I suggest u to stop on the way before arriving Argao to make ur lunch shopping for cheap and fresh seafood, fish and shrimps, or even roasted chicken w rice, and u can enjoy that to eat in ur daily cottage or make ur simple Barbeque facing the sea ....
As u dont have a car, busses run in every about 30 mins from South Terminal in Cebu and will cost u 70p per person and will take about one and a half hour to reach Argao ...
Here is my Cebu Boat Trip Vdeo :
Video
To be away from crowd of Cebu City and hassle, to enjoy the perfect sea, even to make some water sports, very recommendable area ... :)

Adoration Convent of Divine Peace is in Mandaue City, Cebu ...
After a visit by Mother Mary Aurora to Cebu early in 1970, due among other things to the generous good will of a number of prominent laymen, who helped to find the right piece of property and rendered assistance in many other ways also. In September 1971 Cardinal Rosales was to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of his episcopal ordination and arranged to have the cornerstone laying of the new Adoration Chapel and Convent of Divine Peace on September 19 as a worthy part of the festivities. On June 26, 1973 the Cardinal offered the inaugural Mass in the temporary chapel in the completed convent building, and the service of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament began.
More than a year passed before the inauguration of the beautiful chapel on July 27, 1974 could take place. The members of a zealous League of Adorers, animated by a missionary spirit, promote the apostolate of adoration and plan periodic recollection days.
The chapel is a gathering point of both individuals and groups to honor our Eucharistic Lord in the liturgy and in para-liturgical services, as well as in the annual Eucharistic Festival for nine days before the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, which draws fervent overflow crowds.

The Monastery of the Holy Eucharist is a church in Sibonga for the Marian devotees. Departing from Cebu, to the direction of south heading Argao, u can reach this church, up on the hill, perfect architecture, and always very crowded w visitors and believers, local citizens and also foreigners ...
The church is very popular among believers not only because it is considered the home of the image of the miraculous Virgin but also because the place is truly amazing and stunning. The Monastery is the place where the ‘Mga Monghe ni Maria’ (Monks of Mary) live. As u go stairs up and reach the main area, there is a loooong qeue to the main altar ... There are also giant statues outside the garden area, and also a place hidden under amazing trees where u can lit a candle and pray for ur wishes ...
As just about one hour drive from Cebu City, as u take the bus from the South Terminal and will cost u ca 80p - 100p for the ticket, very worth to see Church ... :)

It's so clear that in the City of Cebu there is no place to swim, unless u go to beaches at Mactan Lapu Lapu or to the direction of Talisay etc ...
So, Sunshine Shin is about one hour away from Cebu, which u can reach to take a bus from North Terminal for a fee of 60p, and will be there in Danao after passing thru Liloan ...
I have been there in a daily fun basis, reached early and left late to enjoy the whole day pool and sea, but as said its a resort and u can also stay in the rooms as u wish ... Very safe and decent place, also several families stay w their kids etc, locals and foreigners ....
Entrance fee is 200p which allows u to use pool, sea etc limitless, but I suggest u to pay another 150p to rent one of the wood tables w a hut at the sea side, where u can enjoy ur meal or read ur book whatever .... There is restaurant for ur meals and drinks, but establishment also allows u to bring ur own food and drinks in case u r on a budget trip, as described above u can have ur own food to enjoy at the tables at the seaside ...
Pool is big and very clean, garden and flowers surrounded, none loud music, very enjoyable area ... In case u r interested, resort has a banker boat to take u to snorkeling and diving ... :)

Danao City is about one hour drive from main Cebu City, on the way after passing thru Liloan ... Is famous w the KARANSA FESTIVAL and also to be the passage pier to Camotes Islands ...
As u wish to go to Camotes Islands, u can also travel to Danao City, an hour north of Cebu. The boat leaves the Danao pier at 6am and 11 am daily for Poro. From Poro, the boat leaves for Cebu daily at 5am and 11am. Travel time is about two hours.
Danao City is well sorted w several resorts, restaurants and bars, very clear and clean beaches to enjoy, also some kinds of water sports ...
I suggest to wake up early and take a cab to Northern Bus Station in Cebu passing SM, and take a bus or vhire if u dont want other passengers to fill in the bus, and then reach Danao City for ur breakfast ... :) And enjoy the whole day as said w sun and sea ...

We were actually looking for the Chinese Temple when one of the drivers of the motorcycle we are riding informed us that the Cebu Zoo is quite nearby. I, for one, has never heard of the Cebu Zoo and it's really not one of the areas frequently visited by tourists. Presumably so, the zoo needs a lot of improvement plus there were only a few animals to be seen. However, the kids still enjoyed it as they were allowed to touch and pet some of the animals. Do so at your own risk though...
