The restaurant has no signage. The front door is dark brown bordered by vines.
Locals who know this gem call it Arano's, after the Basque owner who came to Cebu to play professional jai alai.
The food is Spanish (Senor Arano insists it is Basque): tapas, paella, chipirones en su tinta (stuffed squid). You need to order the pescao en salsa verde (fish in parsley sauce) and slow-roasted chicken (stuffed with potatoes, olives, herbs) a day in advance (look up his phone number in the telephone directory under "Ybarlucea".
The food is delicious. Best of all, most of the dishes are under $4! Excellent value.
It has a 3-table indoor seating, and more tables al fresco at the back. The furniture, cutlery and interiors are very simple and unpretentious.
Open 6-10 pm, Monday - Saturday.
It's not fine-dining but if you truly want to eat then this is the place to be. You will be made to choose from a selection of fresh meat, fish, seashells, chicken, etc. and then choose how you want it cooked. Most of the time, we have them grilled and just have a large fish cooked as "sinigang"
Favorite Dish: The baked scallops are quite good. Grilled fish are also cooked in perfection. The fact that they are fresh makes them all the more tasty and delicious.
CnT Lechon is one of the bests in Cebu City.
We just can't get enough of its thin, super crispy skin, and the tender juicy meat.
We will surely come back for more!!!!
Favorite Dish: Pork Lechon
I was with my college friends when we had this trip, one of our friend, Michelle, was working in this city. I really can't remember the exact address of this resto since we had our car service, thanks to Meca's uncle who lives here; but if you would ask the locals about it,I'm 100% sure that they can give you the location since this resto is one of the talk of town.
The resto is an open place, literally having the benches and the tables situated near the road.
Experience something bizarre, no knives, no fork, no plates! just eat with the table tissues, the pizza and the happy company of your friends!
I nearly vomit all the food i ate that night due to large intake of pizzas! damn! we were 7 individuals but we really can't ate the entire pizza!!!
Favorite Dish: you wouldn't be here in this restaurant if not for pizza right!?
the pizza is good since it's cheap, haha. For me, I believe that pizzas just vary on its topping and the type of crust, but it just tastes the same like the others.
having a 30" pizza worth more than 500 pesos is the best price you'll ever have!
Mmmmm.... Best of the best tasting lechon... You will never regret it..
There lechon is so tasty you would ask for more.. Super mouth watering.. Specialy when its hot and super crispy...
The price is right.. The teast is the suppperrr yuumy..

Favorite Dish: Mind you gs they also have ROAST BEEF whole leg.. Same as the lechon its the best... No meat tendersers.. No MSG no PRESERVATIVES... Super yummy the meat is so tender and very well cooked...
The even serve STUFFED LECHON... They but a WHOLE CHICKEN inside the LECHON PIG's tummy...
They also STUFF PAELLIA inside... So good and yummy... They even have SPICY LECHON..
So if you want to order lechon i'd recomend and suggest that you order at Cary's Lechon.. The number one teasting LECHON in CEBU...
They also SHIP lechon to MANILA, BORA, ILOILO, DAVAO, and one costomer shiped the lechon to HONG KONG.. See how good it is..

Malinamnam Seafood and Grill is located in Mactan Island, quite near the airport. They serve very delicious Seafood and Grill. Their food is heavenly. Try the baked scallops, super yummy! But they also have sizzlers, sweet and sour fish, grilled belly, pochero and lots more. For the veggie lovers they serve Chopsuey, Pinakbet, Taugi Guisado, Crispy Kankong and Guisado Kangkong. I was so impressed by their food that I asked a copy of their menu :-). Not only is the food delicious, the ambiance is also terrific. The decor is native with ZEN influences, like a peaceful Japanese inspired fountain. They also have videoke, so when you feel like jamming with your friends after a heavenly dinner, you can do that. What I also love was the parking space in front of the resto. You can park your car in front of the resto. In short, this is definitely a resto worth the try. I hope you'll be just as impressed as I was. Also very good for tourists who would like to taste authentic philippine dishes.
Favorite Dish: I loved their baked scallops, sinigang baboy, barbecue and sweet and sour fish. But I go there all the time to taste other dishes, because it's too yummy. You can really taste the passion for cooking in their food.
When you are in Cebu it is a must to eat some of their roast suckling pig or known locally as lechon. CNT Lechon is the most popular restaurant that serves this dish. It's so delicious that you need not put any sauce on it. Be sure to go eat here early as their stock usually runs out.
Favorite Dish: Lechon
Food is good and very affordable, nice cozy ambiance. Great for parties since buffet starts at P165 (less than 4usd) complete from soup till dessert and a round of drinks.\\
Favorite Dish: Try the Pochero (Beef soup), sinuglaw (appetizer, raw fish with grilled pork), Calamares (squid), Kaldereta (goat stew)!
Try the mango sago with ice cream for dessert.
The one along Osmena blvrd before Cebu provincial Capitol is okay. I like their table and prompt service. Their waiter is kind and accommodating.
I like their grilled chicken but it's a bit smaller than I expected. They have a big serving of pork sisig and also serve value meals.
Like at Chicken Inasal you can order extra rice as long as you like.
If it happens that you are starving and you are about to visit the Capitol, try this one. I think they are all over Cebu.
For me their price is reasonable.
there are 3 tables capacity 4 persons each! Its airconditioned and theres a constantly playing music videos of persian stars. the wall displays are fine to browse around. its everything about the old and modern persia. from figurines of ancient persians to recent soccer stars
Favorite Dish: the beef kebab is my favorite and it already comes with rice and 3 pcs of grilled tomato. There are only 4, YES FOUR dishes on their menu. the other 3 are fish, chicken and lamb. rice is their kind of big grains and OMG its probably about 3 cups per serving. the plate alone is like a tray!
warning: each serving is too big even for a voracious binger like me!
I was saddened to hear that Mandaues first BBQ closed in the beginning of the year. JunJun & Malou Karaoke & grill. All the other bbq's on A.S. Fortuna tried to imitate but could not duplicate. They had the juciest BBQ chicken and pork BBQ anywhere! Happy to say I ran into an old employee from there. They now have a new location at the capitol Site near NBI. just off of Escario St. They have free Karaoke. I sang, and they didn't ask me to leave! I'm not a good singer. They were very hospitable. The sound system is pretty good to. YOU HAVE TO GO! Great food, very enjoyable. Great food to pick up and take to the beach. very reasonable
Favorite Dish: I went there and just like the other place it was too late for the Balbacua. That is the best in Cebu! Unfortunately alot of people know it and it sells out every day early. The chicken bbq is juicey and very good. They make their own bbq sauce that they should sell to the public. Pork bbq nice and tasty. But I tried sizzling pusit. They have alot of different things at this location compared to the other in Mandaue. The sizzling Squid was excellent it had a mild curry sauce with diced mixed vegetables stuffed inside the squid. I had to have the decades old bbq chicken that made them so famous. Honestly, it is even better then before or maybe I just wanted it so bad it tasted better. The squid was great with an ice cold beer.
I was so upset to find out that JunJun & Malou BBQ had closed in the begging of this year. Had to do about something with the owners of Matias and JunJun & Malou. But again my palete gets the opportunity to taste the first BBQ in Mandaue again. JunJun & Malou opened a location at the Capitol Site Near NBI office!!!! Everyone that loves this chicken should be very excited! After I completely got stuffed on the great food. They also have Free Karaoke. So I got to sing, or attempted to anyway. Great sound system. They just opened this location September of this year. I was told by an old customer of theirs about this location. Great food guys! will be back again. Please let me sing? Or try to again? LOL
Favorite Dish: If you have not had it, it is one of the most juciest BBQ you will enjoy. They make their own BBQ sauce. The Pork BBQ is also very good. But unlike the original location that was in Mandaue on A.S. Fortuna this one has more variety of food then before. Their Balbacua unfortunately was sold out before I got there after lunch. As before they sell out very quickly! They even have sizzling Pusit now. That is one of my favorites now, made with a mild curry sauce. Goes great with the ice cold beer.

Favorite Dish: Sisig at Gerry's Grille
i just got know larsian through word of mouth and thru internet so we give it a try.from robinson we take a few walks going to larsian. when you enter so many vendors will call to you.at first we cant decide where table we should go. but we just go straight and choose one. it is more on ihaw-ihaw or grilling...you may choose from pork, chicken, chicken skin and other internal organs, chorizo and also fish.
Favorite Dish: grilled chorizo is ok and pork bbq as well....
I would recommend this restaurant for their delicious native cuisine. Customer service is outstanding.
Purely Filipino food like sinigang and tinola and baked tahong as their specialties. The one thing that catches my attention and I think it's awesome, are the ladies carrying around a rice pot asking us if we need more plain rice on our plate. I have seen non-Filipino restaurants in other countries with a cart of food going around, but this restaurants' concept is something different.
A very convenient place to have lunch and dinner. Very homey. If you happen to be in Cebu, drop by Golden Cowrie Restaurant and experience the truly Filipino hospitality.
