La Tegola is a famous italian restaurant in Cebu City. It has 3 branches, one in mactan cebu, second is in Banilad cebu city & the third is in Busay (on the Mountains where you can dine & at the same time enjoy the city view,,)
Favorite Dish: Almost all dishes there are good! Really good!! You should try their Brushchetta for appetizer..Their seafood pasta & pizza as well! You can also try their risotto (rice w/tomato sauce & mixed seafood or your chOice of topping)..
very nice ambience. upstairs is of native style open air while downstairs, they've got an aircon dining room. they cook and serve quick.
Favorite Dish: for 880 pesos, we chowed down:
squid adobo (sauteed in soy sauce)
fish escabeche (sweet & sour)
baked scallops in cheese & butter
guso salad (seagrass in vinegar w/ diced onions and chopped chili)
2 bowls of rice
In Lahug, an institution for Cebu dinners. Usually packed, especially for Sunday lunch. Large parties of Filipino famlies enjoy a splurge. The prices are very reasonable for such quality and the staff impecible. Don't miss if you are in Cebu.
Favorite Dish: So many to choose - if it's Filipino you wont find better
Angel Ibarlucea, the proprietor of Aranos and former pelotary, opened one of the first Spanish restaurants in the city. Arano's serves typical Spanish favorites like chorizo, callos and lengua and is best known for his paella, baked Iberian chicken and Pescado en Salsa Verde which both need to be ordered in advance (at least a day before). The restaurant is hidden in a village, away from the chaos of the commercial areas. He is usually there to entertain you with his jolly and charming personality.
Grand Majestic at Archbishop Reyes for the best Chinese lunch buffet. They have peking duck and an amazing array of dimsum. It's P275/head but you have as many choices there as the hotel buffets here! Eat as much of the Cebu mangoes as you can. Go get full!
Favorite Dish: Peking Duck
One of my most favorites in Philippines for Bakery .... Many branches in Cebu, Manila etc, especially in Malls such as Ayala, SM and else ...
Always fresh baked, always yummy, to eat there or to take away ...
Strongly recommended, Bon Appetit ... :)
Favorite Dish: Peach Danish, Pizza Baguettes ...

Chateau de Busay is a restaurant that feels more like a home that sits atop a hill overlooking Cebu City. It's the best place to be at night, very romantic.
Favorite Dish: As this is a business trip/out of town seminar, we were served a buffet that evening. The Tomato Fracie and the Angel Hair pasta with chopped mushroom and bacon are fantastic! I loved the nutty chocolate cake, too. They also served a decent calamares and fish fillet. And what trip to trip to Cebu would be complete without the lechon?
This is a really nice restaurant. It is located on top of a hill with a beautiful view of Cebu city. It has an indoor area and an outdoor area either covered in a patio with ceiling fans or totally outdoors, which makes it a really cool date place. If walk down the hill a little they even have a patio covered billiards spot. The food is a local cuisine and they serve a cebu delicacy called one day old chick(See local custom tip). Its a fear factor food for me, but i had to eat it, just to say i did!!!! I love the ambience and location of this place and i would definitely eat here again.
Favorite Dish: Try the one day old chick, its a cebu delicacy. I really didnt like it because of what it is, but i had to eat it cuz my friends over there made me and now i can say did...
The restaurant gets really crowded at lunch dinner time. The waiters go around wheeling their carts amidst the small isle packed with hungry people. Each cart has their own category ( Rice, Dim Sum, Fried, Dessert, yada yada.....). So if you are hungry, you either wait for the cart pass by you one by one and select your cuisine, one by one. Or you can make acrobatic movements for the cart pushing waiter with the food category of your choice to notice you.
Favorite Dish: Their Steam Rice is like no other. And I mean really like no other. It's not just a plain steamed rice, they are topped with either pork or chicken with sauce and absolutely delicious. The Chicken Feet is another popular meal. It doesn't look gross, promise. They actually look edible especially since they are so soft, you can separate the meat from the chicken with your tongue.
Big Mau's Chinese Restaurant is located at the Ayala Center, i believe on the 3rd floor somewhere way in the back. Its kinda hard to find. The food here is pretty good. It is moderatley priced. The service here was great. The decor is simple yet nice and clean. I had lunch here with 8 people and we ordered alot of food. I dont remember specifics, but i do remember that everything we had was delicious.
What I like most is the location of this TGI, couse its exactly at the lower floor of Ayala, has a seperate place of its own, in front is the big area and the terraces of Ayala ... All the other restaurants are on the 2nd and 3th floor of Ayala, just next to each other and so crowded, the music from one restaurant mixes w the other one from the next bar .... :((
But as said, TGI has its own area at the lower entrance floor outside, next to terraces, u can dine outside, and also inside, aircon area ... Combining outside to inside there is a large open air bar, and several "high bar tables", where u can just hang out and sip ur drinks ...
Mostly guests are foreigners and expats, some locals, too ...
Has killer burgers and also fish & cips is very cool, San Mig Light always ice cold in bottle, and even in case u still have place in ur stomach, biiiiiiiig ice cream bowls are amazing ...
Thats one of my most favorite spots everytime am in Cebu, very recommendable restaurant and very safe area as located in Ayala .... :)
Alright ngohiong is sort of a spring roll covered in batter. There's alot of it around Cebu sold by various vendors or restaurants but if you want to get the best ngohiong in town - this is where to get it! One just isn't enough at all. They sell other food as well like siomai (kinda has that filipino taste to it). The place is rather small, which is why perhaps there are more take outs. So when you come to Cebu - for your out of this world experience go to "I AM NGOYONG HOUSE". Don't go to Cheaverz, or Ngohiong Express - these people specialize in the product and the taste shows.
Favorite Dish: Ngohiong
When I learned that I was going to Cebu I listed several restaurants that I wanted to try. I think I've listed around 20 of them and I'm glad that I was able to go to one of them: Laguna Garden Café, The Terraces
Cebu Business Park, Ayala Center, Cebu.
Did they live up to my expectations?
They even surpassed them!
The award-winning Café's atmosphere is very welcoming and you would notice that it is very, very clean.
*The service crew look pleasant and spiffy;
*The food is delicious and world class;
*The toilets are clean and definitely does not smell bad.
Favorite Dish: EVERYTHING is a MUST TRY!
The grilled squid is very juicy;
The Cebu Style grilled fish is mouthwatering;
The vegetables are cooked just right;
The desserts are very, very delicious and unforgettable
For a mouth watering taste of Filipino BBQ and hanging rice visit Larsyan. The BBQ there is better than any I have tasted in the States. It is very inexpensive. One person can eat there for $1-$2 U.S., including something to drink. Although it isn't the cleanest place in the world, it is well worth the trip. Lamit kaayo! (Very delicious!)
