OH man, had the funnest time at Taproom when I went. There was an unexpected towering cup contest that me and my friends won!
I've been to every nightclub in town and this place just seems to have the perfect mix of everything; food, music and a bar. You could lounge in the back or dance near the DJ that plays house music which is such a great change from hearing the main stream stuff you'll hear at every other place. The food was also fantastic and we had an all you can eat buffet of European foods for only P450 plus we ordered the best pizza I've had here in Cebu. I really can't complain.

This bar is recommended for people on the budget (but likes having fun) like the working class and students 18 yrs old and above because this establishment has no entrance fee..just grab a table outside (for al fresco) or inside where there is techno music (but music is too loud you have to make your voice louder when you place an order and have a beer (usually they offer sets of 5 bottles for P225 pesos only. Waiter`s uniform is impressive they are labeled at the back of the shirt so you dont have to confuse them as customers. Peak hours usually starts at 11pm where the latest hits are played and the place is jam-packed (most late patrons cannot enter inside because the space is too small for dancing). Most of the patrons are students, working class, Koreans, singles, barkadas, gays and transvestites

Found a place in the heart of Uptown district in Cebu City, El Gecko Restobar. A popular haunt of expats and locals with great international food, the cheapest beer in town, 30 peso and fantastic people. Multi screen TVs playing music DVDs and very welcoming staff!! I was new to the city and the regulars helped me with everything I wanted to know. Accommodation, places to see, etc. Big shout out to the owner, Marc, who even jumped in a cab with me and took me to a club. He stayed for a couple of beers until I met some people then went off back to work. Amazing bloke!!! Check it out!!!

A new bar complex has opened near the International Convention center. So far, two bars have opened, but my understanding is that six more are being built and possibly a restaurant is going in as well. The bars are large and very impressively decorated. They are in the tradition of Filipino bikini bars, with a lot of cute scantily dressed women running around everywhere.
One of the bars is called Egypt and it has a really very good egyptian motif inside and a pyramid as an entrance to the bar. The other bar is called Bounty and is made to look like a pirate ship, both inside and outside. Bounty also has a nice pool table that seems to collect some regulars who go to shoot pool and watch the girls dance.

I don't know if they have any formal dress code here, I went in sandals and shorts. I suspect that, so long as you look respectable, tropical wear is allowed. After all, this is Cebu.
Oh my this Disco Bar is pretty cool with a live band who sing an awesome/new song where all the people grab the floor and dancing while others are just standing in their table dancing. The Dance floor is pretty big and there's another dance floor at the second floor, the lights are terrific and with this bubbles arround and smokes makes everyone shout. Plus after the live band time for a dj to rule the house and still everyone is dancing, their dj is great he know what type of music people want to shake their ass.

Mactan is the hub of Cebu, Philippines That's where your plane lands! Where the beaches are! Where all the five star resorts are! They're not in Cebu. All those listings for those hotels in Cebu are written by the PR men. Nobody wants to stay in Cebu. The place is a traffic nightmare. The great places are in Mactan. If you can find a beach in Cebu City, you're a magician! Mactan is not Cebu! Enuf of that. If you have the good fortune to be in Mactan, make sure you check out the Cadillac Cafe. This place is the best night club on the Island. I love the place. Especially if you're an American and hungry. USA style food is in very short supply in the Philippines. Lots of places that think they know US food, but dont deliver on it. But you can find it at the Cadillac Cafe. Live bands on Friday and Saturday nights. The sound system is great. The food is good and lots of people to meet and mingle. I live in Texas and can't wait to get back to Mactan!
