    PAGUDPUD TOUR

For Pagudpud tour you may contact Kuya Andrew (+639215370276). he was our tour guide/hired tricycle driver during our last summer getaway at Pagudpud. He was able to roam us around Pagudpud and the rest of Ilocos Norte in a negotiable price. He is very accommodating and nice. Always smiling and a fun to be around. Your trip will get even enjoyable. we were surprised that tricycle drivers there were really professional, in terms of attitude. they are really courteous and not "magulang". hehe!! Just it for now. Just a friendly reminder, i really suggest Kuya Andrew to be your tour guide at your Pagudpud Tour.

    Joyride With Kuya Andrew

we've been to pagudpud this summer break. I suggest that the best way to go there is thru RCJ BUS. (Cost is Php550/head) Take a night trip. It's a 12-hour ride. So when you wake up, you're already in Pagudpud. From the bus drop off of Pagudpud, there are tricycle men waiting ready to drop you on your destinations. (Php300 depending on your stay in resort destination) There we met KUYA ANDREW. He's the one to drive us to our destination and to the whole Pagudpud. He also do Pagudpud tour for a very friendly price. Unlike to those who have van rent which give very expensive prices. His price is i think half the price or lesser. He is also an accredited tour guide of Department of Tourism. He can get you to the tourist spots in Pagudpud safe and fast. Since we are only two tourists then, he was also our photographer. =)
tourist spots that we visited were:
    KABIGAN FALLS
    AGUA GRANDE
    BANTAY ABOT CAVE
    PATAPAT VIA DUCT
It's a half day tour for only Php500, but if you want to explore the rest of ILOCOS NORTE, you can also visit the following:
    LIGHT HOUSE
    WIND MILL
    KAPURAWAN
You only have to add another Php600.

It's a very cheap way to enjoy Pagudpud and the rest of ILOCOS NORTE.

So if you're to go there, I highly suggest you get in touch with KUYA ANDREW so he can give you a JOYRIDE at Pagudpud! You may contact him @ 09215370276

    Ride within Pagudpud

by kaTrip Updated May 2, 2008

    Francis Agustinez and my father

Tricycle ride is the main tansportation within Pagudpud. I recommend you go
around Pagudpud area, Blue Lagoon, Panzzian Bay, Patapat Bridge, Bangui
Windfarm. There are also other spots to check out, but because of time
constraints, we need to leave by noontime. We just visited a few of them.
Half day would be just fine in touring the vicinity of the place.

I suggest you get a guide in touring the place, we hired Francis Agustinez,
he is one of the registered tour guide (yes! tour guides there are
registered) Those who are registered are the only ones who you can hire to
tour you. I strongly recommend Francis, aside from being so patient and nice
with all our needs, he is on time and not concern with the time you spend in
every destination, he actually wants you to enjoy each place of visit. Very
very nice person, and easy to go along with. His Tricycle number is 257 and his contact
    number is 0921-4180693.

    delux bus LaUnion to Pugudpud

by bulldogtwo Written Apr 26, 2008

Not sure if Manila is your start point or not, but unless you fly into Laoag probably the best way is to take the bus. I would highly suggest the delux, lots more leg room, much more comfortable as it will be along ride. Once you are in Pagudpud and if you know where you want to go you should be able to tell the bus driver to drop you off at a certain point. I would also suggest a spot where you can pick up a tricycle to take you down to a resort or you could be walking a ways.
Also, because the trip takes awhile, you may arrive somewhat late, you could also consider staying in Laoag overnite and continueing the last hour of the trip into Pagudpud the next day.
    good luck, have fun!

No no to Maria de Leon

by CandicedC Written Apr 22, 2008

My 12-13 hours inside their Pagudpud-bound bus was hell! They accommodated too many chance passengers (about 7-8) who were made to sit on the aisle of the bus making it difficult to go out during the stop-overs. A little girl was even made to lay down on the floor! Two girls who hogged seats at the farthest row (two rows behind my seat) where chatting and laughing out loudly during 10 out of the 12 hours making sleep a questionable possibility! Though the fare (Php500) was much lower than other companies, this appeared to give the conductor and driver justification for taking as much chance passengers as they can get.

If you cannot afford the tours provided by van owners (Php2500-3000) and if you're but a group of 3-7, I think it would be better to simply rent out a tricycle from the friendly neighborhood manongs and kuyas. The Pagudpud day tour trip covers the Kabigan Falls, Patapat Viaduct, Agua Grande, Paraiso ni Anton, Bantay-Abot Cave and either Blue Lagoon or Saud beach depending on where you're staying. It costs Php600. I have here Kuya Ramon and Kuya Chris's (they were our drivers/tour guides) contact details if you want to find honest and nice drivers ready before your arrival.

    Tricycle Ride Through Pagudpud

by chefjocen Written Apr 15, 2008

There are sevral worthwhile sights around pagudpud that one should experience.
Considering that we just took the bus from Manila to pagudpud, we had to hire a tricycle to help us discover Pagudpud.
We hired the tricycle that brought us from the national highway to Saud beach. He had a new franchise with a new motorbike to boot. So he was pretty fast with the travel. He charged us P500 for the trip to the Windmills of Bangui and the Lighthouse in Burgos. Thats about 4hour trip. Then another P500 for the ride for the Kabigin Falls, the Viaduct & Blue Lagoon, about 4 1/2 hour trip.

    Bus Adventure to Pagudpud

by chefjocen Written Apr 15, 2008

The first part of Pagudpud trip was an overnight stay in Vigan. So we had to get a bus ride to Vigan first. Partas bus company has very comfortable buses. They even had a de luxe bus to Vigan but the line was long and a major nightmare on a long weekend. So after waiting for 2 1/2 hours in line, we decided to check out the other bus company in Cubao and got Viron which left 20 minutes after we got to the bus station.
Bad thing about Viron is that it had tons of stops along the way. Making our trip from Cubao to Vigan an 9 hour long trip!!! I think Partas makes less stops.
We did take Partas from Vigan to Laoag. Then another bus company (forgot the name) to Pagudpud. Then a 5 km tricycle ride to the beach.
Pagudpud to Manila was a lot better. Just got Florida bus in Pagudpud which goes to Samaploc area, Manila. We took the 8pm trip. Left around 830pm, arrived in manila by 7am.

upon getting off the bus tryks were waiting for passengers as if they have booked a trip with them. usually the bus drivers or conductors were the ones dealing with these drivers and us passengers are just getting in.. and off to saud or anywhere we would wish.. they charge P40.00 to Saud only. you could rent them for a tour around just negotiate with the price. .ranging from P400-up.

    Pagudpud

Its took Fifty-five-minute flight from Manila. Flight schedules to and from Laoag, the provincial capital of Ilocos Norte, are difficult to come by. Things keep changing. Philippine Airlines used to have connecting flights to and from Manila. Air Philippines used to fly there, too. Laoag International Airlines has or used to have operations there. There are some carriers that fly directly from Taiwan. The province has long talked about upgrading its airport to increase tourism, but so far it's just that.

Then, One and a half hours by car from Laoag to Pagudpud.

    Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte

Take a long-distance bus and ride 8 hours to the Northern part of Luzon. Some bus companies will take you straight to Pagudpud from Manila. Be cautious because the trip is long and you'll be traveling about 575 miles. Get a Deluxe, air-conditioned bus makes things a lot more manageable -- and a lot speedier because of fewer stops. A night trip isn't that bad; just fall asleep, and when you wake up, you're there.

Take the RCJ Bus lines to Pagudpud. Their bus terminal is located at Lacson st. España, Manila (Near UST). Last trip is at 8:30pm with fare rate at P550/ person. Travel time usually takes 10-12 hours. Just ask the conductor to drop you off at the Badua Public Market. Then take a tricycle ride to Poalris at P35-40/ trip.

    Big buses to Pagudpud

by cjoan Written May 22, 2007

Going there we rode RCJ. Paid 650 for one way to Laoag. Their buses are clean and stop overs are ok. On our way back, decided to ride Partas..bad choice. We didn't get their Delux buses just the ordinary Aircon buses which I think is the longest bus trip ever! the stop overs are not very good. I would prefer RCJ over Partas ordinary aircon bus. There are buses that goes directly to Pagudpud, one of them is Florida(pink buses).

I want to agree about the comment for vincent. Astig siya as well as norvie(his couzin), he really knows how to take care of you and your companions. If your worried that you dont know where to go in pagudpud, just call them and they will be glad to serve you. if you dont have any car, thats ok, they will be glad to use there tricycle as there main transportation over there for the price of 600. please dont bargain anymore, (you would soon realize why is it 600 pesos is enough for them. Also you could request to accompany you to the market or other place(even picks you up to the resort, going to the bus terminals when your going back) ofcoarse add some tip as well. If you have a car with you, you could still negotiate with the price.
