  • Local Favorites!

Saramsam Ylocano Restaurant & Bar, not far from the cathedral is a well-know restaurant to both tourists and locals. They are well-know for their unique flavors of Pizza. One of the famous pizza they offer is the Dinuguan Pizza. I wasn't able to try this one because it's a holy week when we go there. I just satisfy myself with the Pinakbet Pizza....

  • Nice Place

The resto is nice, clean. but the food is not so impressive. but if you have no other option to eat, you can simply order the bagnet (ilocos' best), pinakbet, and their chicken curry. we tried ordering a lot more, but i suggest you take these. =] bagnet (ilocos' best)

  • A German Treasure

Who would've have imagined there was a German Restaurant in the far flung town of Pagudpod? It was a pleasant surprise for us. The restaurant is in Barangay Burayoc, Pagudpod, perpendicular to the National Highway. It's a cozy place with a contemporary clean look. Their menu is quite extensive, with pansit as a part of it. We would have wanted to...

  • Ever tried Laoag Longganisa?

The restaurant is in the ground floor of the Texicano Hotel. Their menu is quite extensive, with local and international dishes. Breakfast cost P150 which included coffee or chocolate drink, 2 eggs cooked the way you like it, fried rice, fruit and a choice of either Laoag longganisa, tocino, tapa or bacon. Since we were in Laoag, we ordered the...

  • From pasta to pinakbet

La Preciosa Restaurant was an excellent alternative to the hotel restaurant we stayed in. We had buffet meals which offered more than enough food, and they even obliged to pack our breakfast when we left the hotel early to go to Burgos Lighthouse. The ambience is good, with a gourmet resto look. It has a wide array of ala carte food, and you can even...

  • A fresh take on Ilocano food

I dined here with my husband and friends in April 2008. We were looking around Laoag City for a good place to eat local food and chanced upon this place. The first thing that caught our attention was the nice facade and the charming interior design. The attendants were friendly and helpful, although when the place soon became packed with people...

  • Probably the best for authentic Ilocano...

For our first taste of Ilocano cuisine, we made reservations at La Preciosa in Laoag. It was almost 2pm so we must have missed the lunch crowd. Starving by then, we were so excited to eat, not just any food but good Ilocano food! So we ordered what I will later declare as my top three Ilocano dishes (the Batac empanada is a snack and I will get to...

  • Familial and Expensive

The restaurant has better food selections compared with the other resorts but the servings are smaller and the prices are steeper. But take note, we went to Ilocos during the peak season. The prices may go down during off-peak periods. Bagnet - YUmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!
