  • Take a bus to Ilocos & get a Van to tour...

We went to Ilocos just recently and had the problem of reaching a van tour package quota of at least 10 pax (from Manila). We decided to take the bus as we were undermanned, only 6 pax. Prior to the trip, I chanced upon a van rental in Ilocos, Lee Lozano who was very accommodating and even agreed and committed to pick us up even without the...

Believe it or not! The Ilocos Norte Provincial Government is extending a free shuttle service for travellers arriving at the Laoag International Airport (LIA). • Chartered Air-conditioned Van

The driver picked us up from the Maria De leon terminal in Laoag City and drove us to Pagudpud. For a 3-day period, he also drove us around, from Pagudpud to...

  • Maria De Leon De Luxe Bus

If you aren't with a tour group, you can take the public bus going to Ilocos Norte. In our recent trip (June 2011), we took the Maria De Leon air-conditioned bus with reclining seats and a comfort room. Advance reservation for a ticket is required so when you go to the terminal, you are assured of a seat. The bus left the terminal with full...

  • Chartered Tourist Bus

When we joined a tour group in 2008, we rode in an air-conditioned tourist bus to go to and around Ilocos Norte. It was a very convenient mode of transportation because we were assured of seats and there was no time wasted waiting for a ride. It was also a relaxed trip, unlike if we brought our own car, long driving could have been so tiresome.

  • Beware of that pink Florida Bus

I love Pagudpud and been there a lot. But in summer 2009, Florida Bus gave me the worst headache I've ever had in my visit to Ilocos.I was with four girl friends when we visited Laoag. That day, we planned on going to Burgos for the Cape Bojeador, the windmills of Bangui, and of course the beaches of Pagudpud using local transport available. We...

Pagudpud (As of September 2004)From Manila to Pagudpud1. Board a bus to Laoag. There are a lot of bus companies that will take you to Laoag. The shoreline is rugged and rocky, with patches of whitish-gray sand. The outstanding feature is the Patapat Viaduct and elevated concrete roadway, which winds around the rocky headlands and looks strong enough to withstand the mightiest typhoon. The Panghan Resort would be a good spot for a quiet, rock fishing holiday.

  • No Choice but Bus!

The cheapest way to get around is by buses passing through the highway. However, if you have enough money, you can always ask your resort to prepare transportation for you. But it's around 100-150 pesos per person - and it's just some utility vehicle like a jiffy or something like that!
